I finally got to try out the alclad Chrome paint I got ages ago. I ended up reprinting the whole Hero Me fan duct on the Photon S and with great success.

I've been lucky so far.

I have found using Prusa slicer for automatic rotation alignment and supports and then slicing in another program to be working out really well.

The last step is to clear coat the chrome according to the destructions but I have my concerns that it will ruin the effect.......I'll do it though lol

Chitubox has all of a sudden stopped working?
Running the latest version, adding autosupports in prusa then exporting to chitu and this has been working fine for the past week no problems, but all of a sudden everything I open in chitu causes it to crash? I have uninstalled, reinstalled and I have trimmed my memory down?
I have also tried to reopen stl it sliced fine before and still crashes?
Why's it's playing up all if a sudden?

So I m using the Prusaslicer auto support feature to add my support before slicing in chitubox and they re 99% great so far, but some of them seem to be “fused” to the model and leave a small round hole when removed

Looking at the settings in prusaslicer there is an option for “Support head penetration 0.4mm” could this be doing it and if so how low can I make this number?

Question:
I just printed a bunch of minis, together. The first picture below, shows the layout I made in Chitu. The second picture shows my print settings. I used Prusa for supports and sliced in Chitu, then tested in PFV. All model came out ok, except the 4 smaller ones along the bottom, they all stuck to the FEP, plus one end of the larger model was loose from the buildplate, but the model came out nice anyway. Any ideas why the smaller models would stick to the FEP, when the rest came out nice?

I dont know what I'm doing differently that it's working now. I put less on the plate. I dont try to export a mirrored image. It screws up going from prusa software for so.e reason. Excited that things are working out!

Prusa autosupport slicer question.

Seems to work okay for some things. However, none of my larger pieces survive (maybe I should add more manual supports?) and none of my mirrored pieces seem to survive. Are there any tips to make this work?

Chitubox and photon validator aren't an option as I haven't been able to get the firmware to update (something wonky, I don't know).

So, I made another attempt at the coal fiter for my photon, and this is what came out. the corners of the print, seem to have started printing too late, causing the edge to be bevelled. I'm thinking lack of supports in the corners, but what do you guys think? Also it appears that some of the supports along the edge furthest away from the buildplate, did not connect with the model, at all.

Method used:
Prusa autosupports with some manual tweaking
Chitu for slicing
Photon Validator, which showed two minor pixel errors, that it couldn't repair itself.

Hopefully some sanding should save the filter-box, so I can still use it.

Does anyone have any tips on what i should change if im getting a Base and supports printed, but The part itself is stuck to the FEP? Using autosupports from prusa slicer. Supports too weak? Underexposing?

Edited with what it looks like after I've exported from Prusa and into chitubox. Why is the mirror model shadowed?

What's the correct way to flip or mirror models using something like the prusa slicer? I think attempting to mirror models has been leading to broken objects or something. I've been reading around and I don't quite understand how it works.
