I filter the resin and releveled the plate. I even replaced the fep sheet. These autosupports are built in prusa and then I sliced the thing in photon workshop.

Two pics of the prusa stl files with supports. (two separate print jobs)

Guys,

I've printed a sculpture with the Photon. Although I am super impressed, my knowledge is very rudimentary.

I set my timing with Anycubic Skin to 8s and 50s/5. Yet I experience some kind of feature loss on the sides facing to the plate. Room temperature is about 26-28 at the printer.

I use prusa slicer, it produces supports that are easy to remove almost without any damage to the model.

Washed to model for a couple of minutes to wash out resin from the hollows. Cured for 15-20 minutes (it took that much time to gain surface hardness against scratches)

So question is, what's the best way to print? How long do you currently, wash etc.

Hello all, not trying to start a row over slicers but I use Prusa and export plate with supports to Chitubox. That's what I was told to do on here and it works well.

Is there a reason not to use the slicer built into Prusa or is it just a preference thing?

Having an issue with Chitubox where when I save a project file with supports, when I reopen it and attempt to add more supports it crashes. This happens pretty much without fail whenever I save a project mid way through supporting it and reopen the program.

I’m considering switching to Prusa Slicer and wanted to ask whether it’s better for project saving? The thing I’ve noticed about Chitubox is that it attempts to start where you left off or drops in an unsupported version of the last model you had selected. The software would be fine if I always had the time to add supports, validate, and fix but life happens and I just don’t want to count on that being the only way for me to print anymore. What are your thoughts?

For context I’m running on Mac OS X 10.11.xx

Hello Guys,

Been having a weird issue lately, all prints are coming out fine, but for some reason I'm getting a thin layer of cured resin on the FEP for anything I print.

This time it kind of messed up my gobo :(

You can see where the print was as there is a small "hole" at the bottom of the cured layer.

Tried dry printing the same print, everything looked ok

Print turned out mostly ok, except for some failures on the flag, I'm thinking the thin layer got in the way of my thin supports and messed up the bottom of the flag

Auto supports in Prusa, and then supported what was left in Chitubox.

Any ideas on what might be causing that thin layer to form?

Thanks in advance!

Edit: added print settings

Hi, I have a Prusa slicer problem. It creates supports with intersecting faces. Z-suite has hard time creating solid objects from them unlike chitubox, and I need z-suite because I need overgrowth compensation.

How can I make a solid from this? Netfabb didn't fix it.

I have removed some faces for this image to show the problem.

First attempt with Prusa auto supports and it seems to have given up part way through... Any ideas on what might have caused this?

I topped up the vat part way through the print, could this have caused this issue?

Any comments/feedback is appreciated
