Ive been looking everywhere for the post but cant seem to find it.

Someone said that they have had great success by using prusa slicer before chitubox

My question is what steps where you talking about and what Prusa slicer do i need to download, i checked it out and found a bunch of different download on the prusa site.

Anyone gues what is going on here with the failed prints and supports? Was working fine up until a few days ago. Releved the bed.

Is that possibly the prusa auto supports failing?

So I have a Photon S which I've been happily using since I got it about 2 months ago. Unfortunately I've had to use 3 softwares (ChituBox, PrusaSlicer, PFV) in the process of getting supports for my models done right, and PFV doesn't even support .photons files.

I'm finally looking to update my firmware from the 2.9.9 that was loaded in the machine to the latest 5.02 version but I have been unable to find any official guide on how to update my firmware.

Can anyone help me out here?

Hi guys, searching for advices on how to have the least supports marks on my prints (mostly 28mm miniatures).
I heard about Prusa Slicer on the French anycubic group, that puts better supports than anycubic.
So i downloaded it.
So basically, correct me if i'm wrong, steps are :
- Import STL,
- Turn model as you wish
- Auto supports
- Export with Supports in STL.
- open in Chitubox and print.

So my questions for those who also use Prusa Slicer are :
- Is there somethong more i can do in my step ?
- How to do if i wanna hollow my model ? Hollowing in prusa not seen.
- Is there a "auto oriented support" tool ?

What other advices may you have ?
Sokha.

Switched to green and got these gems out.

8 base layers at 80 seconds, 8 second exposure at .03 mm layer height.

Prusa supports, Chitu backup supports and slice, and then run through the validator.

so does anybody know how to view a specific layer in prusa slicer? im looking at the file validator and identifying islands, but whereas the validator and chitubox will tell me the exact layer, prusa slicer wont let me scrub through individual layers in the preview and even if it did, does so in increments that dont indicate layer number but rather some other seemingly unrelated number.

Hey all. I’ve been printing some bits for my miniatures but the details aren’t as sharp as I’d like; they appear kind of flat and blended with one another.

Is there a quick way to increase sharpness on these kinds of printings? My workflow is prusa for support, chitubok to slice, verify with photon file validation, and print.

Hi, I printed this heroforge mini on my anycubic photon and got this really weird layer shift. The layer has only been shifted on the cape and back sword, not the torso or hands. I have never seen this before and I have printed a few heroforge minis before. I checked the .photon file in Chitubox and it al looked fine there...

I did prusa slicer auto supports
Photon file validator/chitubox to address the few remaining islands.

Exposure time 8s
Bottom layers 8
Bottom layer exposure 70s
Off time 6 seconds

Hi! I’ve used Prusa Slicer auto supports, which seem better than Chitubox’s and work fine. But they leave obvious marks (on the right side). Can you suggest any tip?

So those of you that use the prusa slicer. Is there a way to adjust the thickness of the support rafts? I was wondering if I could make it thinner but I can't seem to see a way to do so.
