For those who use the Prusa slicer for orientation/supports and then import into Chitubox, have you found a way to provide a little lip around the raft that lets you lift the print off the bed like you can do in Chitu? I've found using this method that the prints get so stuck to the plate that I have lots of trouble getting them off. I miss the little lip that Chitubox provides.

I previously had an issue similar to what is pictured and someone here suggested using the EPAX firmware. I upgraded to Epax 4.2.18 as suggested and that seemed to solve the problem when I re-printed the model. However, the next print after that printed as a pictured. The difference was that these had supports built in Prusasplicer, sliced in Chitubox and printed at .02 (exposure 4s) instead of all supports having been done in Chitubox at .05. I also had AA (x4) enabled.

Any thoughts on solving this continuing problem would be appreciated.

Also just to verify, is there an obvious way to tell if Epax FW was successfully installed. I installed an earlier AC firmware so I could see the firmware # change because of there was no apparent difference otherwise (or I am just blind) so I wasn't sure it successfully installed the first time.

So first semi-succsseful print after the test cube. Many thanks to this group, read a lot of the other posts and made changes after a few failures. The supports were added in chitubox, I'm still trying to figure out the prusa slicer program and am totally new to 3D printing altogether so still have a lot to figure out.

For whatever reason the "raft" portion of the supports didn't print, and I can't figure out why the knee flayed like it did. Other than that, I'm fairly happy with it.

Struggling to get a decent picture but rather pleased with this: 0.02, Sirayatech Blu at 30C, auto supports Prusa Slicer plus a couple of manual. Used IPA wash, clean(er) IPA wash, hot water soak for support removal, cured under hot water. Model by Lion Tower Miniatures “Barbarian Dragon Slayer”. Looks awesome to my eye but the phone photos just aren’t all that great.

How can I use the Prusa to find the best orientation? I read some ppl in here used it for that with great success, but I can't find the option in the program.

I was told to check out Prusa Slicer. Going through the setup wizard and I'm not sure about the firmware type on my Photon S. Prusa won't put out the .Photons file anyway so I should just set this to no extrusion? So I'd still need to use another slicer to output the G-code I need correct? Anyone in the know on this I'd appreciate the insight.

Every print just amazes me. Came out flawless. Anycubic Grey, 0.05mm layer height. Recently switched over to prusaslicer to generate and adjust the supports, love it

I'm starting to use the Prusa Slicer and I gotta admit I'm impressed with the auto-supports on it, but I'm having trouble understanding this setting in the screenshot. In the advanced menu this same setting is called "Minimal Distance of the Support points" ..but it's still not clear. I've played around with it on different models and I See the the supporting structures are different, but I can't quite pinpoint what's different about them. It looks sort of like it affects support density in some ways, but there's a separate "Support density" setting, so it can't be it. I even looked at the source code (because it's open source), but the code is not commented so I couldn't make heads or tails of what it does. Any thoughts? Thanks!!1

So after several months of nothing but failure, basically since I moved the printer out of the house and into the new workshop, I am back in business.
Add me to the list of people who vote using the Prusa Slicer for support placement.

My latest batch of minis. Siraya Blu, zenithal primed with Badger Stynylrez.
