So I ordered a Photon this morning...

In getting ready for it's arrival, I am starting a checklist:

I have a ton of gloves/paper towels on hand and this will be sitting right next to a window for venting. I've ordered a UV light for curing.

I'll use the resin that comes with the printer initially then branch out to a new resin.

Questions I still have:

1. How to hollow solid prints to save resin
2. What are the initial settings I should put on the printer (depth, time, etc.)

friends, I asked a question about a Chinese resin in the forum and they pointed me to this spreadsheet.
Has anyone used this spreadsheet?
The values for the layer are too low, right? My resin is anycubic CLEAN, but the values are 0.020 for the layer! and 100 for exposure !!
Is it right ?

So I bought a Photon and, after waiting an unreasonably long amount of time to actually receive it (which is unrelated, but adds to my frustration), I started printing with it. The quality was great, everything was working like I expected it to, but then within three days of getting the printer I'm having a Z-axis malfunction, where it just won't move.

I've looked online and have seen a lot of similar issues, but in all of them the printer's fans and LCD are also malfunctioning. In my instance the fans and LCD work fine, and it's just the Z axis that won't move. I've tried power cycling and updating the firmware to no avail.

It might be relevant to note that I had a print going while I was out and about, and when I returned the print appeared to be partially-complete, still attached to the build plate, and the build plate was all the way up at the top of the Z axis.

I have relatively little experience in troubleshooting hardware, so how would one go about figuring out what the issue is?

Hi guys. Any idea what is the cause of this? When i just click up and down on the z axis this doesnt sound. But when i try to print or i try to check the lcd. It does this sound. Is this normal?

I'm having a really odd issue with ChiTuBox... It didn't matter what version, but I updated to 1.5 to see if it made a difference.

It keeps the screen on one of my monitors when trying to move it to another. But it isn't like an image, it is like 2 copies are opened, but when I go to close the other one, the image moves to a previous view of the model I'm working on. Then, when I click back to the window that I moved, it goes back to the view it is supposed to be at...

ok so photon slicer? should i be using something else? It seems whenever i try to print a mini that has a base i find it almost impossible to place supports where i need them. I click and click and click and they don't get added.

So I did a print with green and everything went great but when I clipped off the supports I ended up busting parts of the model out. I did it before curing so I'm not sure how to avoid the issue?

Anytips for good support removal?

What are people's perfered resin for miniatures? I have been using straight Siraya Blu which is great but it's hard to find imperfections at times when clipping supports.

Anyone know where to find replace clips, like the little black, fragile bar that holds in a ribbon on this board in the Photon? I don’t even know what to call this thing to search for a replacement.

PPS - Duncan made a pile of dead Goblins...how could you not find a use for that?
