Do you clip off the supports before or after curing? I had some pieces snap off while snipping the supports after curing because it was too brittle.

Before I click order, is the Photon S worth it over the standard Photon?

Hi guys/gals

Couple questions... I’m reupholstering the seats in my vette. I broke a plastic cover plate that has been discontinued.

So far I’m unhappy with the printed results on my prusa. I like the texture the bed gives as it creates an OEM finish but getting the fillets not to look like chamfers with the outward facing side against the bed is where it’s coming up short so onto the questions.

1. Would anyone here be able to assist me in adding a texture to the model that resembles the texture of plastic on the interior of a car like a dashboard? I designed my piece in fusion 360.

2. Do you think standard resin once painted would work well as a retaining clip or should I get something stronger? on FDM I was planning on producing the final piece in PETG.

Thanks!

Here is a pic of the factory piece installed. I’ll add pics of my printed piece when I get home if anyone needs/wants to see it before they weigh in.

Hi,

Can anyone make a picture of the right side window panel of the Photon, from inside the printer? I'm interested how is it secured. I have a Photon S, and it has different shape panel, and attaches with little protruding clips.

I will make my auto-refill system replace the panel, and in case there is interest in this from mk1 Photon owners, i'd like to see if the same method is applicable or not.

Preparing for my first print and as much as I read this forum, there's still no substitute for actually doing (as opposed to just reading). That said, just need some advice on the best way to print this. I've gone the 45 degree route as can be seen. One area I want to highlight, the "back side" of the 45 degree tilt, I've put "light" supports there exclusively and I'm wondering if I'm fooling myself? I want to avoid losing the rivet detail when I have to clip and sand the supports, hence the light supports in that area. Also, some of the supports are taaaall; I have a few tall, light, supports picking up details inside the turret. Again, am I fooling myself thinking that this will work? The detail is so small it would just be absorbed by a medium support, so was my thinking. Thoughts on what I've presented?

So—might be hard to hear this... I put the mic right up to the printer so mostly you just hear fans, but if you listen, you’ll hear the stepper start turning, the “click” as the print separates from the fep, and then, on the descent three low clunks, that can also be felt vibrationally thru the printer just befor the print settles for the next layers. Any ideas where I should start looking to troubleshoot?

Does anyone know what the part is called or if I can source the small black plastic clip thing that holds the LCD ribbon cable to the contacts is?

I was repairing the z-axis and the black clip fell off the connector ribbon. Now we can't find it. It doesn't seem to be in the printer anywhere that we can see and we can't find it on the workbench or floor.

Hi everyone!

I'm just wondering if there happens to be a comprehensive guide on what we need to do to prepare for anti aliasing for us who aren't quite as experienced as many of you (i.e. the software we'll need etc).

I've been searching the group but yet to find anything. I have a client requiring a keyring order that I'm planning on printing then fabricating molding trays to cast in PU. The master needs to be as jazzy as possible and AA will really make the difference.

Thanks for the help gals and guys and have a lovely weekend!
