Am I right that there is not "one" setting for the printer, but different settings that work better for different .stl models? I just printed a couple Octopuses for my kids, and I had to cut the base layer exposure time and the layer exposure time in half to get it to print where it wasn't welded together as a solid piece of resin. But those same settings did not work for the ghoul miniatures I tried to print next - well, to be precise 3 of the 6 ghouls failed. the other 3 had a few spots where the light supports failed but not enough to wreck the whole model. So, am I right that there are different settings for different .stls?

Conducting tests to improve printing size up to up to 1 mete r!
Since my Photon is under maintenance (dued to wobble issue), I'm conducting some test in order to discover real software potential.

I modified "__dlpconf_" file to following machineSize values (mm): X:68.04 Y:120.96 Z:1000
In simple terms I tried modify Photon printer profile in order to achieve printed piece up to 1 meter. Anycubic Photon Slicer V1.3 software allows slicing "oversized" STL model and I got *.photon file (2.8 Gb!).
After launching file print comes test failure : Printer lowers its platform to home (I manually simulate home to sensor) but printer keep lowering instead of printing. (Video shows test)
Printing progress goes from 1% to complete without any printing process. Do you think printer firmware (Photon 5.5, V4.2.3_LCD) allows "oversized" printing? In case answer is "NO" do you know about open source software I could install on printer allowing custom profiles?

Hello!

I'd love to share the latest easy to print designs I sculpted on Zbrush printed on my Anycubic photon and also the original renders so you can compare and see how well a STL translate into a 3D print, preserving all the details.

The models are mostly supportless and the big ooze is pre-supported, they were printed in 0,03 mm layer height, printed in two different sizes. The bigger ones were primed in order to highlight details. You can also check all the models together in a smaller size for tabletop games.

Seriously, this machine is awesome! I'm considering upgrade to the Anycubic photon S soon. If you have any question related please let me know!

Hello all,

The photon is my first resin printer and I'm having a little trouble with the default test print. The first print failed and was just a single layer stuck to the fep. I re-leveled the build plate, tightened the fep, increased base exposure time, and moved the printer to a warmer room (~23C). 2nd test print was more successful but still failed. Looks like one of the text pieces is missing in the inside, the text inside is warped, and lastly one of the corners is not fully connected. Any ideas on what might be causing these issues? Thanks in advance!

Using the anycubic green translucent resin:

12s exposure time

90s bottom exposure time

8 bottom layers

1. Which resin do you use?
2. What setting do you use to print the appliances to get the accuracy?
3. Which software do you use to modify the STL? Is meshmixer and Anycubic Workshop sufficient?

Hello everyone, so i recently bought Creality UV resin, because i couldn't get anything else from nearby stores, but when i print, my supports melt into my model, is that a problem with bottom exposure? I print minis only/mostly so my bases look deformed then :(

My Photon is in storage, is anyone willing to print something for me? Just need one piece, it's a 'coin', similar to an AA coin, or commemorative piece. About the size of a 1 ounce silver round. I need to make a mold of it after printing, so quality is of course important. I'll provide the .stl and money for printing and shipping back to me.
