Anycubic Photon Printer Owners 造訪社團 » USB

Hello everybody! Finally after a whole year being a member here like a lonely ghost I decided to pick a photon! I like this thing and the prints so far are really nice. I also performed the exposure test for the Anycubic clear resin and I've set it to 17s in Chitubox. Although my prints seem to be 0.25mm larger than the actual size. The question now is, how do you calibrate the dimensional accuracy of it? ? (The printer is stock, with the stock FEP and firmware). All prints done by a new usb stick.

Any hell will be appreciated!

Thanks :)

Hello everyone, i've printed a model for my friend with my Zortrax FDM printer.

Now he asked for a better looking SLA version and i've started printing it with Anycubic.

I've printed the whole model on FDM without any problems. It is a 20 part model and now, i've printed 19 parts with my Photon but when i try to print last piece my Photon just freezes. Nothing happens. And .photon file looks like a text file when i insert the USB. I've repaired model. I'm using meshmixer to hollow and put drain holes so every single slice i made is different but still that model doesn't work. I've tried pairing with other models i've tried putting it solo, tried slicing it differently etc.

What could be the problem ?

I both hate and love Anycubic :)
I hate that I was placed well out of my comfort zone having to replace the mainboard to my Photon S, I love that after replacing it I turned it on and 1st time bingo :)
There is a certain sense of pride I will admit and releaf that it didnt burst in to flames :)

However the lessons I have learnt I shall try and pass on...
1 Take photos of everything ! It gets confusing inside there if you are not used to this sort of thing I did, but not for the right reasons anyways.
2 for the Photon S remove the side opposite the USB and power on/off side, again I did not and found out I had to remove the other side :)
3 stay calm and don't get flustered I advise reading glasses or even a magnifying glass for the more visually impared out there and a small pencil torch :)
4 the bolts they use may as well be made from plastic, get a good set of Hex keys that are made of strong metal the mix of soft hex key and soft bolts I expect will end in disaster for many people.

The downside of it all was the amount of glue on all the parts I had to remove, the bronze strip at the back had the most insane double sided tape on it that refused to leave, I accidently pulled the side protecting the sticky part and it all just turned to goo, why they would use this over just one sided tape is beyond me :) The glue looked like the sort from a glue gun inside is tight so I'm guessing it;s for transporting them and hoping none of the cables come out but damn it was every where !

Hi I am using anycubic green and having issues with my prints. This plate was full of stuff but only these two things printed. Yesterday I got a new USB. Oh if I am only printing infantry(for the most part) everything will print without issues.

In short masters of 3d printing what am I doing wrong?

Hey guys, just purchased the Anycubic Photon S printer from Amazon. Currently I'm having trouble getting it to read USBs. The stock USB indeed has the files on it,but nothing comes up in the print screen. I've tried a few other USBs, all formatted to the FAT32 and just the photon.photons file. I've jiggled it, tried every manner of restarting it with and without the USB, but the touch screen only responds when the stock USB is in. Additionally, when I start it with a non-stock USB, the screen freezes on the startup. What do I do?

When I received the printer, it looked like it had been used previously. As you can see, there is already wear and tear on the resin vat itself, the FEP, and the base where the VAT goes. Additionally, the resin had already been opened and been leaking out onto the styrofoam.

Lol ok I might have spoken a bit early :)

This is the motherboard they sent me. I own a Photon S and the power and USB ports are on seperate sides of the machine yet on the motherboard they are both in the same side.

Has any one with a Photon S replaced their motehr board is this the correct one I simply don't wish to dismantle the machine and then find, as it's all in bits, it's the wrong motherboard.

So I'm getting random resets trying to print the v2 heater.

I've re-sliced it a few times and the .photon file seems to be ok. It will reset at a random point during printing.

I'm currently printing from a lexar micro-sd card purchased at walmart, inserted into a sd-to-usd adapter that is wired directly to pin headers i added to the motherboard.

Previously, I was getting the usb disconnect error, with about 3 different usb sticks.

It's a blue window unit and came with the suspect power supply. I have since hooked it up to a 400w 12v supply from a proliant server, so i am fairly confident that there is no shortage of clean power. I've run the reset to defaults gcode a few times and re-zeroed.

Firmware 4.2.14 is loaded. Should i try a different version of the firmware?

Anything else i should look into?

Hey all, thought i would ask about an issue I've beem having. The last 3 prints I've done now the prints on the left hand side of the platform fail miserably while the right hand side prints as normal. Unfortunately I'm not able to provide pictures atm but i thought I'd see if anyone has any ideas. My guessing is i need to reset and format the usb im using.
