Has anyone ever used resin to fill a shape on another print? I have a box I made on my fdm printer and it has a heart in the lid. I was thinking of taping off one side and filling it with resin which I would harden with uv. Any thoughts?

Anyone have any luck adding smooth-on pigment to a clear resin? Would be cool to make a variety of colored parts and only need clear resin.

Hi there!

I'm trying Elegoo Grey Standard resin but it's sticky when the print and the IPA washes are done (Anycubic resin doesn't do that). That's a problem because when manipulating the print to remove the supports it's getting weird as shown in the image. Any ideas to solve that issue?

Hey guys so I keep having this happen to my prints. I make holes to ensure the resin leaves the hollow print but it bleeds out and gardens like this (2nd photo) and the supports meld together and ruin my prints, but I can’t change them much since those are the islands. I used settings people recommended for their beautiful prints. Any suggestions?

Hi All!
I got my Photon set up and printing. Test cube came out fine. I also did the xp resin test and the ameralabs city test. For the resin test I think 10 looked best but any other suggestions would be appreciated. The ameralabs test seemed to come out well on one side but other not as well. Wondering if maybe I didn’t rinse well? Any input would be great! Pics below.

I am using Siraya Tech Fast resin.

Any thoughts on what may have caused this? The arm came out flat, and the base got warped.

I'm using Anycubic clear resin, printing with 45° orientation using these settings:

layer 0.025

exposure time 8

off time 1

bottom exposure 100

bottom layers 8

Anyone try this yet? Seems potentially awesome

They say don't use IPA to clean which would make me think details could be lost? ? Just spray clear coat on it. You have to rinse it wouldn't you or could it be a formulation that drains residue easily?
