Anycubic Photon Printer Owners 造訪社團 » resin

原文網址 Jay Kay

Anyone know if monocure are still shipping resin? Can't seem to order the custom packs via the site any more. Alternatively in need of clear resin for an order, any alternatives? Located in Aus.

有人知道單治癒還在運送樹脂嗎? 似乎無法再通過網站訂購定制包了. 或者需要清白樹脂來訂購, 有甚麼替代品嗎? 位於aus.

So online orders are still working? I've been going to the checkout all night and getting a critical error. Cheers

Overcuring causes brittleness, you shouldnt need more than like 5 minutes or until a nail no longer dents it

Little assistant. Today I tried using my anycubic. Tried to print some weapons for some figures. But did not print. I see the first layer down in the tray. But nothing was stuck on the build plate. What could be the cause? Using anycubic slicer and resin.

It's either a leveling issue or not enough time on the Base layer. Relevel the build plate and increase Base exposure by 5 seconds and try again. Repeat until perfect prints.

Anders Scot Hudson
2020-03-25 09:54:02

Also if it’s your first time, the plate may not be down far enough when you set the Z, the paper needs to be more snug than you think...

John Valdes
2020-03-25 11:21:00

Brendan Wood where can increase the base exposure?

Brendan Wood
2020-03-25 11:21:26

John Valdes what program are you using to slice?

John Valdes
2020-03-25 11:21:36

Anders Scot Hudson I will tried it again. Had it tight that paper was real tight

John Valdes

I have both chitubox and the anycubic one. I was using the anycubic one.

Brendan Wood
2020-03-25 11:31:12

Well first of all I recommend not using the anycubic one. Then in Chitubox, on the right hand of the screen there is a button for Settings. In the middle of the Settings window, there is a Print tab. You can change the numbers in there and press the En ter key to save. If you haven't used Chitubox yet then the numbers might be a little low by default. That was my experience. When doing test prints to find your curing time you can increase the Exposure Time by 1 second and Bottom Exposure Time by 5 seconds to dial it in.

Brendan Wood

I like this town as my test piece to figure out a resin's times

John Valdes
2020-03-25 11:32:49

Brendan Wood will try it. I read about sanding the bed plate.

Brendan Wood
2020-03-25 11:33:23

John Valdes i've never done that so I can't recommend.

Bob Deblier
2020-03-25 15:26:48

John Valdes beware of destructive hardware modifications. Only do that if 1) you have exhausted all other possibilities [including releveling dozens of times if necessary] and 2) have visually confirmed with a steel ruler and a light source that your build plate is not flat.

Hi, guys. How u all? I would like to know if I can clean the resin pieces with kerosene. I don't know what to do. Because these things about covid19, alcohol is not too easy to find. I don't know the options here in Brazil.. do kerosene works?

Ray Sears

It would probably work but there are better options. My local hardware store had plenty of acetone and denatured alcohol.

Sen Kun

Kerosene works well, just stinky and oily. You're in Brazil, Ethanol works great.

I just got my printer. I have levelled it and watched several videos to get started. I have a quick question though, how much resin do you normally put in the vat to start with?

Andrew Sternglass

If you want to play it safe lower the plate all the way and then add resin. Then you're guaranteed to not spill. Otherwise just add as much as you think you need that looks like it won't overflow once the plate is in.

Brian Jones
2020-03-25 00:59:06

I pour mine to the bevel about 1/2" or less up from the FEP....I print minis so this method works well for me, I always use less resin than that.

Steve Landers

Just as an FYI the official blurb states it takes 70ml. Not tried it but I reckon that's close to Flood Alert . . .

Nikola Pijanac
2020-03-25 16:02:18

Lower your build platform to the bottom of the Vat you can fill it to within a few mm's of the brim. Resin getting on top of the build platform will not damage your printer in any way it just makes it a little more messy when you want to clean it.

Has anyone had parts shipped direct from anycubic lately? The shipping window of a replacement LCD on amazon is April- May (due to replacement of non essential stuff change). Was wondering if anycubic direct has been any better.

Storytime (optional): Had holes appearing in prints and there was no resin on the glass underneath, so I replaced the LCD. My replacement didn't come with a gasket like my previous replacement did. First print turned out great. Second print frame sheared and then my brand new LCD stuck to the vat and ripped out. (I had heat tape down, but it I guess a corner came off and stuck to the FEP).

so RIP to printing for however long.

Gotta love our photon!!!

I started to paint the mini have been printing for a month, still not a single fail !

Sometime if you print too small, detail dont come out as good as a bigger model, but im still impressed by this machine everydays.

Im slowly getting low on my first liter of resin, gotta order more soon, but last time i checked, there wasnt any 1 liter of grey left on amazon.

Which color you guys would suggest to buy if grey dont get available soon?

Keep staying awsome ! LETS PRINT MOAR !

Shaun Reno
2020-03-24 20:05:04

Israël St-Gelais awesome. I’m having issues with mine still after a few weeks. Any chance you would take a picture of your settings for me?

Israël St-Gelais
2020-03-24 20:07:25

Shaun Reno i used the setting on the chart for resin that is used by most ppl. I leveled the bed with the "read method". Then im auto-orienting and auto-support (70%) in prusaslicer. I export the whole thing in chitubox and VOILA.

Israël St-Gelais
2020-03-24 20:08:26

Ill try to find the chart to post it to you if you would like to

Shaun Reno
2020-03-24 20:08:54

Israël St-Gelais how long do your prints take, say for one mini? The chart looks like it has really long exposure times.

Israël St-Gelais
2020-03-24 20:09:33

Depends, between 5 and 7-8 hours usually. I dont mind the time to get good results

Israël St-Gelais
2020-03-24 20:09:54

Im printing a 8.5 hours one right now

Shaun Reno
2020-03-24 20:10:36

Israël St-Gelais that’s how I feel but on the other hand, people are getting better results in three hours and it’s frustrating.

Israël St-Gelais
2020-03-24 20:11:39

Depend on the size of the mini, usually part under a inch high take around 2-3 hours yes, but im usuallly printing around 10cm high at least

Shaun Reno
2020-03-24 20:11:57

Shaun Reno
2020-03-24 20:13:48

Can i pause a print to refill resin or will this cause a failure in the printed items?

我可以暫停列印以補樹脂嗎? 還是會導致印刷項目失敗?

Just pour more resin in without pausing.

David Cornell
2020-03-24 17:47:05

Just make sure the resin is about the same temp as the resin in the vat.

Sam Applegarth
2020-03-24 17:47:38

Most likely lead to failure or at least a more visible/prominent layer line at the break. Better to just pour some more resin in while it’s running.

Lee Rogers
2020-03-24 17:48:39

I've always just added more when needed....never had a single issue ?‍♂️

Benjamin Engl

Uli Sazma

Tauri Icenogle whike the printer is printing?

Tauri Icenogle
2020-03-24 18:46:11

Uli Sazma yep. Just pour slowly. There’s enough space around the build plate for the resin to get in the vat.

Uli Sazma
2020-03-24 18:50:15

Yessik Ziiq
2020-03-25 03:43:14

I wait until the model is done curing the present layer, then I pause, add resin wait about 20s and then resume.

John Matthew
2020-03-25 08:59:57

When I've done it mid-print, I timed the pour of extra resin during the lifting process so its less likely to affect it during exposure. Only had to add extra once or twice though.

Scott Pavlich
2020-03-25 09:42:02

Done it both ways...neither causes a problem though you could get a faint line
