Hi folks. I have had a few days to play with my new printer and now I have come up with some questions.
1) What kind of cleaner/concentration of ethanol alcohol do you use to clean your build plate and vat?
2) I primarily use my printer to print miniatures for my D&D group. These are, on average, about 25-35mm tall and about half as wide. Sometimes when I try to build multiple of the same model at the same time some work and some fail. Sometimes I will get one or two that print fine, and then I will have others in the same batch that stick to the FEP film. For instance, I tried to print 6 of the same model just now. The 3 in the back row all printed fine, but the 3 in the front row all failed. What are some of the common causes of this? I have cleaned the FEP film and the build plate with 91% alcohol (all that was available at walmart) and I have re-zeroed the build plate as well.
3) Is there a rule of thumb as to how much space should be between models when you print multiples of the same thing? I would assume that since the image is coming directly from under the build plate the space between models isn't as critical, but I am also a noob and could be wrong.
4) How often do you have to replace the FEP film? I have already developed a wrinkle in the front right section of my film and am going to have to replace it. I attribute this to the number of failed prints that have been sticking to the film rather than the build plate, and in turn I have to go in and try to carefully scrape them off. What kind/brand of replacement film do you all recommend?
