So, after many successes with my Photon since buying it a month ago, I've been running into problems with this one print. My first attempts were made with ChiTuBox with standard support settings and Heavy supports. Portions of the model printed fine, but portions pulled away from the supports such that there was a gap between the tip of the support and the base of the model. I increased the density of supports and adjusted the angle until there was no more red showing on the underside of the model. That started ok, but at some point, all of the support bases pulled away from the actual print plate.

Am I having multiple independent issues or is this traceable to one thing I'm doing wrong. As I said, I've had lots of successful prints and managed to fix the other problems I've run into with minimal effort. I just can't get this one print figured out.

Excuse me if someone has already mention. Saw on Reddit something about Anycubic resin cheap on eBay. There are multiples of these listing. Obvious the price is coming down bigly. $30 for 1 liter shipped for orange. Others are higher.

I saw the bottom fan of the Photon Classic is a 60mm fan x 10mm depth. Clearance space till the uv heatsink is about 19-20mm. Any tips on replacing this fan? Is noisy as hell.... Saw a few Noctua 92mmx15mm and 120x15mm but i dont know how to properly adapt it to the bottom chasis vent holes. Cant find a proper and slim 3-4mm adapter either!

so I am at a loss, since Sunday, i cannot get a good print. I have changed FEP (and got it the right way this time), I have re-leveled, using the original method and the Flint Read method and changed out the resin multiple times, and I still cannot get the base layer to adhere to the build plate. any ideas why its not working?

anything else I can check? this is just getting really frustrating and I can't think of what else to change...

Just over a week in and I am loving this machine - its pushing me to learn solidworks better as well - I'm amazed I was able to draw up the carbon race seat - praise be to Youtube!!

Hello, ive been lurking here for a bit trying to pick up tips. First question, here goes...
I just got a photon delivered thru amazon. So im able to just return if this is actually an issue. If its actually just dumb my apologies. :D
The screen has styrofoam in it. Ive contacted support to see whats up. Maybe an easy take apart and remove? But doesnt seem like i should have to do that...
Theres also a hair behind the screen inside the vat. Same thing, i can feel it behind the plastic membrane.
The touch screen seems less an issue but im wondering if the one inside the vat is more of a problem. I was unable to get a good pic of the vat. Seems to be a hair or something. And another little bump.
Instructions say make sure its clear of dust so im thinking if the 2K LCD screen has slight bumps then thats no good.
Any ideas or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Anyone have tips about getting the last bit of this to print and not deform? I oriented it at 45°, with the right side hanging lowest. I’ve tried different supports and had deformities on the last layers three different times now (although this was the worst).

I’ve used both the Anycubic software and Chitubox. This is the Anycubic green resin that came with the printer. Medium supports used, with extras placed at corners and edges (including up to the points where it failed). The part is hollow, with holes along the bottom edge of the glasses, both near the plate and further down. Using 8 seconds exposure time at .05 layer height.

Lots of other prints have been successful - just not this particular file.

Can anyone confirm resin exposure can result in something like a burn? I've got what looks and feels like a mild burn on a finger tip. I'm generally careful, but assuming I missed a drop. Just validating that this could indeed be related to resin.
