Hi everyone. I have a question about Photon File Validator. I have been using auto-support in the Prusa Slicer as I was appalled by what was happening in auto-support in Chitubox! On smaller items there was the odd stray single pixel island but nothing to really worry about. But now I am printing something larger and the amount of islands has naturally increased. I add supports in Prusa, slice in Chitubox and send the exported .photon file to the validator. But now there are more islands and the message "blah blah but nothing can be done." appears.

I return to Chitubox and go to the layers delineated in the validator and for the life of me, I cannot see any islands. I go up a layer, and up a layer but still none appear. I'm beginning to doubt my sanity.

So is it OK to just print with these "islands" in the piece for which "nothing could be done" in the validator?

Obviously, once outputted as a .photon for the validator, I can't send it back into the Prusa Slicer...

Thank you *so much* to anyone who can shed some light on this. It's been driving me spare. I have gone through several YouTube videos but my work is somewhat different from the models used to teach with.

I was inspired by Kelly Sealey and her post to put my stock of IPA to good use. This gallon is being made into hand sanitizer for a church who is delivering lunches to kids out of school who rely on the school system for a meal.

I’m not posting this for any pats on the back. I’m hoping I can inspire someone like Kelly did to me. This IPA can be put to way more good then just washing resin. Please consider sacrificing a few prints, to save a few lives.

So decided to do a check randomly. Hard to see a little but it looks like moisture or something? I have no leaks, only had this printer a little over a week and now I see this. It wasn't there when I first got it. Is it normal or should I be concerned?
No effect on prints that u have noticed.

Finished the druid this weekend. She's slightly bigger than most of my miniatures even printing her at 32mm.

However, it's a gorgeous print.

Tried to keep this tied to springtime colors with only glazing depths. The necklace was too detailed, it did get hit with a wash.

I've been seeing a lot of people posting pics of stuff that whould be fixed with a deep cleaning.

What's your cleaning regiment?

I do a cleaning of the plate, vat and the inside of the printer after every printing. Is that too much?

Even after owning this printer for several months, it still surprises me. If I hadn't printed these myself, I would have had no idea these were printed! I love the quality of this style of printing and this machine! 0.04mm elegoo grey

This is very different from whats being posted in this group, but it might be of interesst to some! ?

Im an artist, and will be using the printer to experiment. This one is a test for a light-piece, with hollow resin tubes with LED inside. Over and under the piece is a holographic PVC sheets.

The idea is to make a larger wavy piece put together of several smaller ones, like tentacles.

I just had a weird error pop-up while using my photon. I design a little bracket in tinkercad, and went to print it out. See (1) below. It was a bit deformed, and I clearly hadn’t used enough supports.

I redid supports and printed (2). Here’s where I noticed the odd splinter out of the rightmost side repeated. I didn’t actually dismissed it as an artefact of the supports.

What might cause this?

Currently reorientated the model on the plate and redone supports. Looks like most of a W now. Printing now.
