Hi, I'm a new MacBook Pro user and I'm trying to install the updated Photon Workshop V2 1.19 on my laptop. I've downloaded the .DMG file. But It seems I cannot installed it on my computer, getting the same message that it can not confirm the developer identity. I've searched on the Github, on the net but can't find the procedure to install this file. If you know where I can find info on the procedure to install it, it would be appreciated.

Short Version: Please help me with a memory m_11800 error. If you've overcome this error please tell me how you were able to fix it. I'm also open to suggestions for other things to try. Finally what firmware should I use if I update it? Anycubic.com has two listed V5.0.2 and V4.2.19, which firmware should I use? My photon currently has V4.2.12
Long Version: Hello there folks, I started with the anycubic photon this wednesday and definitely had a couple of days of that sweet sweet honeymoon before slamming into problems. Namely I had a print stop mid print with an error code (because I'm foolish I didn't record what it was but I have a sneaking suspicion) and since then I can't get anything to work. I've had over prints not sticking to the plate, many many memory errors and finally I've contacted anycubic support, but I would like your opinions in the meantime as I await a response from them.

Fixes and troubleshooting I've tried:
I did what I thought was best so I opened up the photon docs on the photonsters github and got to troubleshooting.:

First thing's first, I ditched the stock usb to use a much better one that I had on hand, 8gb, fat32 etc. However this still resulted in a failed print with a memory error.

Next, I removed the usb stick and did a power cycle for the printer. This allowed me to do a full resinless print (no resin in the vat) so I could double check that the usb could be read. It seemed to work fairly well, the photon went through the entire print without a memory error. With resin however my next print did not stick to the plate at all, I checked my FEP tension, found it was at 280 Hz according to an audio analyzer, releveled the build plate and checked everything again without resin. It seemed much better, I tightened the FEP to 300 Hz just in case and tried again. After which, with resin in the vat, the next couple prints failed with a memory error m_11800, however the failed prints are sticking to the plate and even filtering the vat and checking the FEP all is clear in the vat. However the memory error is still very annoying. I figured it could be PSU related because the first time and last time I had a memory issue while printing if I moved the PSU at all it would disconnect the mains from the adapter via the adapter's plugin. So I zip-tied the two together, removed my UV lamp from the powerbar (when I turn it on it messes with my regular lamp so I know it doesn't play nice with the other devices plugged in). I also decided to try with the usb stick plugged directly into the motherboard to minimize any potential issues. Memory error. M_11800 again. So I started a support ticket and here I am now.

What should I try next? 翻譯年糕

I totally give up. I’ve been getting nothing but failed prints. The first few layers will print and then nothing. I am using my tried and tested profiles from the photonsters github which have worked on previous models. Can anyone suggest reasons this is happening. We just hit winter here but it’s in my basement and we keep the house pretty warm because of my toddler.

Hi everybody!

Does anybody know if there is a program available that allows for automatic insertion of custom images into a sliced file?

I am currently trying to expose only the edge of my structure a second time, which would require the printer to stay at the same height while using a new image only containing the edge.

I have looked through the programs available on GitHub, but I haven't found any that does it automatically. The files I use are around 4000 to 8000 layers, so doing it by hand would quickly become tedious.

Thanks!

My first time using Dragon Resin and trying the exposure test from the github. Am I doing this right?

Anyone have any suggestions for exposure times for Opaque White Dragon Resin?

Sadly, I scratched the build plate a bit trying to peel this off though. I think my scraper is too sharp? :(

I've been using the CLI version of decreasePixel on every print and it does exactly what I want despite the warning on Photonsters GitHub. But using the command line is getting boring, so I've just tried to use the GUI version. Running it in WINE on Linux Mint 18.1, it keeps failing with an error when I open the file open dialog box. I've tried both the recommended 32 bit version, and the 64 bit, but both are the same. Has anyone got it to work, or should I give up trying?

Hey guys,

I've been having a great time with my printer, a good 6months with no problems so I am very happy with it. Yesterday my printer stoped moving the Z axis. The fan was not working when I turned it on either. I've reset eeprom with the factory default file on the GitHub. I've flashed my firmware to the latest version 4.2.5 . And I've tried the dead z axis and fan file on the GitHub. The fan as turned on, but the Z is still making that grinding noise. Anyone got an idea for a fix, do I need to switch motor? Motherboard?

A layer of resin cured on the face and chest removing details. Is it over exposure or the orientation of the print.
11 sec exposure, 1 second delay, .05mm layer monocure rapid clear (as per exposure chart on GitHub)

Alright!

Today I printed first real print - my test cube and I think it turned out just fine! I am really excited ☺️ Thank you 3DPrintingPro, the guys behind Photonsters github, the guy behind Wargaming3D, Maker's Muse and Miniature Miniac for inspiration, resources and awesome tutorials!

What do you guys think? Is it any good?
