Had an interesting error on a recent print, this model, supported in Chitubox and then sliced in the Photon slicer, despite hand verifying each layer, has what appears to be a single frame which misprints. Tried in Elegoo Gray and now in Siraya Tech Fast, never had an issue before with frame shearing (and had other successful no issue prints after), USB is a SanDisk with no issues noted. Model isn't hollow, but the cross section area isn't extreme here, nor does it looks like a typical suction issue. It is a rectangle larger than the build surface.

I'm thinking somehow the file might have some corruption, so I deleted from the USB, resliced using Chitubox, verified the layers in both Chitubox and Photons slicer, and am trying a reprint in Siraya Tech Fast. Releveled when I switched to the new resin last night.

However, figured I bounce it off the hive mind because it's the first such issue I've had.

Grooving on the Fast Resin though, way less fussy/issues than the Elegoo Gray thus far.

It crossed my mind today, but is it (or could it) be possible to print at a higher resolution for a portion of a print; then lower the resolution.
Basically, a part I print needs a high resolution, but the rear of the print doesn't.

I took the machine completely apart to seal up the 3M respirator adapter duct with hot glue. 30 minutes in to a print, it seems to be working. Fingers crossed.

I started out with a 4-inch duct system venting out the window, but with winter coming, and the fact I live in an apartment and can't put a real vent in the wall, I need another solution.

Before jumping to a bulky, 4 inch "botanical" carbon filter, I decided to try the respirator adapter. And it didn't work at all at first because it was leaking everywhere.

I realize now I should have put a bead all the way around the between the original filter frame and the baseplate, instead of just where the round hole extends past the frame. Oops, I hope I don't have to take it all apart again to do that.

Been in this hobby for a week or so now so still learning. Just came across Formware 3D slicer with its pretty hefty price tag. What exactly warrants the £120-275?? What does it do different to Chitubox?

Finally got the photon to work with siraya blu, but noticed a giant horizontal “cut” or “crack” across the section. Any idea what could have caused this?

I've started on my first big figure print, a 1/7 scale superhero.

Started with the head. There's some obsolete geometry inside like eyeballs, complete rows of teeth and a tongue. The print turned out mostly fine but there are some thin indented lines running across it parallel to the buildplate. Could this be because of said geometry inside the model, or is this the dreaded z-wobble?

The model comes from here, by Rikkthegaijin:

I really love this AnyCubic red especially after a quick dip in polycrylic. This rose turned out so nice. I added a pic without the dip for comparison.

Okay folks, I can't figure out what I did wrong here. So I changed my layer height to .02, and exposure to 7 seconds with elegoo grey. I also slowed down build plate movement speeds all around. I'm get better quality, and none of the models really failed, but a few of my micro supports have failed. Also I got this strange banding across the models that I have no idea what caused it. Any thought, comments, scoldings?

I'm just posting this in case someone else comes across this in the future.

If you just got your printer and there's a dot that doesn't look pixalated this might be your issue. After cleaning both the LCD screen, the Fep and checking the file the problem still remained. I opened up the machine and found a piece of foam that had been attached to the bottom of the LCD screen. It wasn't until I removed the UV light that I found the problem. ***please take care when opening the machine so as not to damage any of the wires that are still attached***
