Hey, just a quick question. I have been cleaning my prints in Isopropyl Alcohol and then curing but today I got an ultrasonic cleaner (just a small cheap one). I've been looking online but am unsure because of conflicting opinions:

Should I just be using water with some dish soap in the ultrasonic cleaner for my prints or should I be putting Isopropyl Alcohol in the cleaner? I've seen some people report that putting alcohol in the cleaner can be a safety hazard while others seem to think it's ideal.

Any thoughts?

Thanks in advance

I need help finding a part. This is the 'Acrylic Support Plate' for the Anycubic Photon. It the thick support plate that goes under the 2k masking screen.

This part appears to have gotten some resin on it and I can't get it off for the life of me. It's welded on there. I've soaked it in 99% isopropyl for days. I've scratched it a little trying to get the resin off. I need to replace it.

I have been unable to find a replacement part for this. Does anyone know where I can find one?

HELP!

New question from the newbie. I'm printing these "pins", and at the edges it does not get to give the correct definition, as it would have a resin film that I could not get out with isopropyl. What can be?
Thank you

Here is my 4th print with the Photon. As it is currently sitting in the living room, I cannot use it as much as I'd like, until a proper working space with ventilation will be set up for it.
This time, I decided to give Chitubox a go, to see how it would behave.

Model: 3D Town from Ameralabs
Slicer setting: default for the Photon after installation
Resin: Anycubic green from the sample bottle that came with the printer; it has been sitting in the vat (covered with a piece of white paper) for at least 3 weeks, without direct light on it
Room temperature: around 21 degrees C, with a slightly open window 2 meters away from the printer, to make sure that some air circulates

Model was loaded in Chitubox and placed on the buildplate without additional modifications and no supports.

For the scale, a 1 eurocent coin sits with it in a group picture.

After printing, sprayed with 95% isopropylic alcohol, washed in water and 2x60s curing runs in the uv nail curing machine of my wife.

I still have to compare the original 3D model with my print, but I want to have dinner first.

Enjoy and let me know how does it look like - for me, at the moment looks quite good :)

Unfortunately my FEP film managed to get a hole, and some resin leaked out onto my screen. I have attempted to wipe it of with isopropanol, with no effect. Has anyone got another idea to remove this resin?

Cheers

Hi everyone, thx for accepting me in this group.
I'm now a proud owner of the anycubic photon. I've printed only 2 miniatures for the moment and I'm really happy with the result but I have some questions..

How do you clean your miniatures after printing? I put it in isopropyl alcohol for 30 seconds and put it under a nail uv lamp for 2 minutes. Is this the right or best way to clean them?

Do you guys have any advice or tips for me? I just want to print miniatures so I can paint them afterwards.

Thanks

Hello good people of dlp world.
I am looking into buying a dlp, photon is nr 1 choice right now, if you dont got any other suggestions. I got some questions.
How many times can you use the isopropanol for washing before it need to be changed, can you use it for different resin/colours?
I am going to use the photon for jewelry and usable stuff, how durable is the different crystal resins?
Last please post your different colour resin prints with name of the resin.
Have a nice weekend :)

Hello everyone, I'm new on this page, and I just bought my first 3D resin printer, the anycubic photon, and I'm going to make my first print from the sample files with the printer.
I wanted to ask the experts if I have to clean the FEP with isopropyl alcohol or just simply pass it with a cloth or with what?
Sorry for the bad english, but I'm using the translator
Thank you!

Hi Everyone! About to set up and test my new Photon. Would 50% isopropyl alcohol be ok for the post print bath?
