Monocure rapid grey, but also anycubic grey, 0.05 layer height (monocure 18s/Anycubic 14s), washed in ultrasonic with resin away, and cured around 10-15 mins under uv led light rotated.
The parts have been bursting in large cracks lately, all my older stuff is fine, it’s only a few parts lately. What would be causing this? Not curing long enough/too much?

Question:

Do you normally sand of the scars from supports first then do the final UV cure?

Or do you do the final cure then do post processing?

My UV LED on the Photon appears to have died and I'm outside the warranty by about a month. Does anyone have any recommendations on where I can buy a new one?

36W uv lamp is enough for curing resin? How long it takes for 100% cure?

All - I'm at the beginning stages of investigating post-processing techniques that remove or significantly reduce reliance on IPA as a solvent. It stinks, is highly volatile, flammable, and difficult if not impossible to effectively recycle.

I discovered the pictured product, "Yellow Magic 7" from Bradley Systems, due to its use by a few people in the SLA printing community. I contacted the company and they kindly sent me a 1qt sample for testing with DLP resin.

This weekend I ran a small scale test and confirm it does a very decent job post-processing, if you use it in a heated ultrasonic cleaner. I heated the bath to 60C, turned on the sonicator and left about a dozen small, hollowed parts to clean for 10 minutes. I followed this up with rinse/agitation in hot tap water. Good results, and at ~$30/gal is much cheaper than ResinAway (which I have never used and am not claiming on-par performance - YMMV).

The only potential issue is that it doesn't appear to solvate all of the resin - you end up with little synthetic vesicles of resin floating around in the detergent, which can stick to the vessel walls, and potentially could make their way back onto the parts upon removal, etc. A silver lining might be that if you cure the bath with UV light I imagine those vesicles may solidify and just crash out of suspension allowing you to recover almost 100% of the cleaning solution in a fairly pristine state. But more testing is needed to confirm this...

I still have other even less expensive industrial cleaners to try. And based on some droplet testing I initially did, I may also try some IPA/detergent mixtures as adjusting the ratio appears to allow you to fine-tune this vesicle-creation property.

I did a little experiment and found out something. I had some resin on my nitrile glove. In a fit of pique I grabbed my UV flashlight and exposed it. The stuff is exothermic, it gets hot, in UV light.
Didn’t realize that.

Hello photonsters,
A couple of weeks ago I was made aware that are printers were having some failures. Are printers have been running for about 5 months now. 8 to 12 hours a day Monday thru Friday. So I went through all the basic steps to try to trouble shot the problems. When I did the UV test the rectangular on LCD screen didn't look clear. It looked cloudy to me. My thought was LCDs were bad and need to be replaced. So before i did the LCD replacement. I text Vinicius Silva and asked him, Can i replace LCDs and reuse protective glass?" LCDs looks cloudy when doing UV test. I think they need to be replaced. I'm no expert so I thought I would ask a master.
Vinicius replied, What do you mean lcd is cloudy?
cloudy is not a objective term i'm afraid ?
Please share picture.
Funny guys these master photonsters. Lol.

So long story short
We had a dust problem (a bad one) and not a bad LCD problem. They saved me from doing a LCD replacement. Plus i gained a lot of photon knowledge out of all of this. Thanks again.!

It was much easier to air off and clean inside of cone and back of LCD then to replace LCD.

Oh i disconnected the cable from the 3.5 front screen in the second printer. Then closed it up not knowing till you turn on to check. Had to re-open and reconnect cable. ? Never stop learning!
so here are all the videos and pictures that I shared with Vinicius Silva and Sun Kun throughout the process. Now I'm sharing with all photoners. Keep an eye out for the dust build up! Thanks again!

Hello everybody, yesterday i got my Photon, and managed to get some good prints with the help of this group. My leveling was not ok. These are some of the creations i made.
The castle has some white stuff in the corners, no clue what exactly it is, it appeared after washing with alcohol, followed by hardening on an uv lamp.
