Anycubic Photon Printer Owners 造訪社團 » UV

Hey folks, had a lil spill I wanted to ask about. At work we use a formlabs washer that washes for like 20 minutes per go, and havent used it or emptied it in 2 weeks. When transporting it to a different room we ended up spilling a small cup worth of the alchohol on my shirt, and I just tossed it into the laundry bin at home.

For those with more experience, should I be sticking the shirt and clothes that came into contact in the sun for UVs, or just toss it in the wash like my boss suggested as he laughed about my overthinking?

Newbie questions

1. What resin do you guys recommend for minatures

2. How do i know what exposure times to use or exactly how to set up my print profile.

3. How do I know how long a print must be set under uv for post curing?

Hi everyone, first of all, love this group, it has given me some usefull information regarding anycubic photon. Just bought the machine 2 days ago, this is my first dlp machine. I use and still run fdm.

Anyway just a few question regarding slicing object and supports:

1. What is the downside and upside in printing flat?
2. What is the downside and upside in printing angle (45 or under)?
3. If i want to print solid and quite heavy what is the best one (flatbor angle)?
4. If printing several item (same object), does it effects the quality compare to print one?
5. Is the autosupports works properly and efficiently?
6. And last one, let say i printed one object for several hours, how long is allowed to let the object stick on the build plate before going to washed with the alcohol. (In room no window/uv)

Really apreciate your input and idea,
Thanks guys

I picked up a UV light today. I know the Anycubic resin is listed at curing with 405n. The light is 390-400n, will it still work but just take longer? From what I have seen people only place their stuff under a UV light for a couple moments and it’s cured. I have left some stuff under the one I got for several minutes and it doesn’t seem to be doing anything.

My first print! I used the wanhao water washable clear, the fumes we’re not so bad, but I’m curious if the detail would be better with a traditional resin. The black is the same model I ordered from hero forge, for comparison, and the hero forge printed model is on the right on the sloppy primed models. I’m wondering if any of you guys know what to do with the water after cleaning? I blasted the cleaning vat in the sonic bath with UV, but I didn’t see any clumps of cured resin. I’m pretty sure its pretty toxic so I don’t want to just dump it in the sink or toilet.

Hey, Can anyone tell me why I got this on my FEP after printing? The printer stands at dark place so there is no UV light apart form LED. Thanks for any advice.

Hey Folks,

Does anyone know of a way to check what wavelength your curing lights are *actually* running at?

I've got 3 different UV light sources. A little LED Torch, a 6-light LED nail curer, and 5m of UV LED striplight. All 3 sources were advertised as 405nm lights. All three look significantly different to the eye. The torch looks really deep blue, like an old-school black-light flouro tube, and seems to work the best. The nail light looks whiter, and doesn't seem to do quite as much (Definitely got multiple LEDs per chip package), and the strip light is almost pure white with a hint of blue, and seems to be the 'weakest' of the three.

The only test I've been able to come up with is to stick a drop of fresh resin on a card, hit it with the light, and observe how quickly/violently it goes off.

Does anyone know whether there's a more sensible/reliable method to test them?
