First successful print using Chitu latest slicer software. Question do you cure under UV first before trying to remove supports?

I have seen a few posts about what people have done for curing chambers. This is what I put together. If I remember correctly, it cost me $35-40. I really messed up the spiral of the LED strip, but it still works. I also drilled a hole in the side of the bucket at the bottom, and glued the connector for the LED strip into that hole.

5 gal bucket
Chrome spray paint (considering lining with foil for better reflectivity)
UV LED strip
Cabinet handle (attached to the top of the lid)
Champagne flutes (temporary stands to place prints on, planning on replacing with something else)
Super glue to make the LED strip stick
Outlet timer

Would one of these UV lamps for nails work? (And how about the set up?)

Anyone have any suggestions on a sonic bath or curing station? Idk if I need either of them. I can use a bucket of IPA, and an UV light to finish. But want some helpful input

I'm at my wits end with this machine.

I ordered my anycubic last black friday. It arrived with a busted LCD screen, got the whole machine replaced quickly by amazon.

New machine arrived, I got about 8 good prints out of it then suddenly had these massive sheets of dried resin running through all my prints. Contacted tech support and asked online. Replaced my resin, checked all connections, took the thing apart and reseated the Zscrew. Tech support had me run diagnostics and failed print after failed print until they said the diagnostics were claiming the motherboard was bad. So they sent me a replacement UV light and told me to replace that (still trying to figure out how that was supposed to fix anything). 3 months go by before I receive the part, still getting these sheets of dried resin in my prints.

At this point I inquire about swapping out the machine or paying the difference to upgrade to a PhotonS, no deal. Finally after another few months I finally receive the motherboard the diagnostics said was the problem almost 5 months prior. In taking out my current motherboard i discover the connections are caked with glue. I do my best to gently remove all of the connections but as the connectors are between the side of the machine and the motherboard and i can only see one side, i miss some of the glue and tear a connector. I ask around online for how to repair it, try to find connectors etc, no luck so another call to tech support. Again I request to trade out the device or upgrade, no deal.

I just received the new connector today. I replace it with no problem, turn the device on and the following happens.
1 Beep
The UV light fills the screen
The LCD panel is blank
The fan runs on high

Let it run like this for about 20 minutes to see if anything else would happen. Rechecked all of the connections, made sure everything is seated correctly and snug. Unplugged and replugged let it run for another 20 minutes.

In a year, I have gotten less than 8 good prints out of this device, I can't get it replaced, I can't get the right parts to fix it, and it's gonna take another who knows how many months to get the next piece to try. I know this sounds like whining (and I admit that most of it is). But I don't fancy having a $500 paperweight. Does anyone know what I should do to fix this latest problem?

I am aware of all the LED options for UV post curing. Some nail stations use non LED solutions. I’m very interested in non LED bulbs, does anyone have success with non LED based post curing lamps. If so could you please post details of your non LED post curing solution for me? Hoping this thread doesn’t become a vehicle for self promotion of an LED box ? Third time lucky....

Hey guys, I ran out of Elegoo Clear which was working perfectly for me and unfortunately amazon.ca didn’t have any more so I ordered the Elegoo Yellow instead. Did the resin exposure test and came up with 14s and did a print... it was a mess. It failed pretty majorly and there were flakes of hardened resin attached to random parts of it. Cleaned it all up and found large sheets and clumps of hardened resin on the bottom of the vat in the area of the print. I tried again overnight... same thing. Checked the UV test on the printer, everything seems fine there. Based on the fact that it was working perfectly before I changed resin, I suspect the resin, though I also changed the FEP at the same time so that is also under mild suspicion, but I did make sure to take off the protective sheets from BOTH sides of the fresh FEP this time so it’s not a repeat of that problem. Anyone know what the date on the Elegoo resin means? It says 2019/08/12 so if that’s the expiry date they gave me expired resin. I forgot to take pictures until I was half through cleaning it up. I had already removed the biggest piece of hardened resin from the bottom and put it in alcohol but I put it back for the photo.

EDIT: I checked the screen with my flashlight after removing the tank and it seemed a bit cloudy. Would that be enough to cause this or is it more likely bad resin?

So Ive owned 3 other resin printers before (Muve3d, Form1 and Form 2) and now this. This is the first one that I havent been able to get working right (easily) I have leveled the bed, according to a few difference sources. Paper is difficult to pull out. Parts wont stick to the platform. I also sanded the platform a bit to help there too.

Ive tried leveling it very tight, and .1 mm up from tight.. no luck... any help would be lovely. thanks

Thanks for the add... just ordered my printer and bottle of their new plant based uv resin... been watching lots of videos so pulled the trigger on this.. So from what I've watched so far I'll need to buy or build a simple uv curing setup? So without posting links, I found a "Curing Light Solar Powered Rotary Display Stand Turntable Kit for SLA DLP 3D Printer " for $33 . I assume this would fit the bill, or simply set outside, but I wouldn't want them to get dirty etc.. So what else besides rubbing alcohol will I be needing to purchase? What consumables? (besides gloves etc) . I found a good shared google doc listing many resin types and multiple settings people suggest, im sure that will be useful, I'm confused with all the resins though any why some wont work etc.. and what happens if the setting simply is not right? Does the unit have built in settings for various resins perhaps? I'd like a tough resign to make things like keychains, and things that might be outdoors in the elements.. can anyone suggest some and why? I saw formlabs I believe it was tough resin but it was like $145 If my memory serves me... isn't there others that are durable... Don't want just a toy with things that break easy... After curing etc, how many of you paint your items, any specifics on types of paints to use?
