A Little overkilling but that's my take on a remixed UV curing Chamber. If you have time to waste, you can download It on thingi

Noob Here:

How long is it taking you guys to Cure ELEGOO under a UV light? Does it make a difference if is 1 or 6 28mm minis?

I just picked up a light, but I can't imagine the 99sec timer is going to make me happy

Thanks

One other burning question. Is the glass of the Photon UV protector? Can I place the printer in front of a window without being worried that the resin in the vat could harden from the light? Or should I cover the windows of the printer completely with something?

So, using Monocure Rapid Clear, the minute you waist IPA get's a bit cloudy, which goes super cloudy when rinsed in water. I tired just curing under UV straight from the vat but it remains sticky. I've tired adding a clear finish after with Ehh results.

What's the point of printing clear if it doesn't come out clear.

Does anyone have a legit way to finish off a print and keep that right from the vat clarity?

How do you guys get rid of your IPA / resin bath? I see a lot of people talking about putting it in a container in the sun or in a UV Box. Curious what you guys do.

Hey folks! I just joined after paying $20 for a custom die I designed to be printed at Shapeways and deciding I wanted to look into getting my own SLA. I have a Tevo Tornado for larger build volumes, and I'm about to pull the trigger on the AnyCubic Photon to compliment it. I'll be printing mostly miniatures and dice (either as-is or for mold positives). I have a few questions if you don't mind helping out a newb before I buy ($300 seems like a great freakin' deal). I know there's a learning curve with something new like this, but I'm a quick study!

1.) the consumable clear UV sheet, how long do they last? I know they provide an extra, just curious how often I'd be buying replacements and what they cost.

2.) Anyone use these for dice? I'm wondering since it's resin if printing dice is enough, or if they are better used as a master for casting (which I do as well).

3.) Resin bottle is about $20? Do they last a long time? I know it depends on how much you print, but I'm just curious how much resin gets used

4.) Do regular STLs work with a DLP SLA? I think they get converted to images, right, so the software must have to convert the SLA to something the printer can read.

5.) Octoprint - I know it has a USB port, though I don't know if it's supported by Octoprint. I could just be non-lazy and look myself, but might as well seed the conversation in case someone here has anything to add on that front.

6.) I'm told cleanup is more of a thing and the smell can get pretty strong. Using this in my basement probably not a good thing then?

Thanks for having me. Looking forward to conversing with you on this.

I’ve been having a few issues up to now. From my previous post I have checked the UV, re levelled and zeroed, changed exposure time to 90s first 5 layers and 9s per layer afterwards at 0.05 (using Anycubic Grey). I’ve tightened the screws on the FEP. My results are better but the print still failed, do you think this could be supports or should I change my light off delay time to a higher amount (currently set at 0 in Chitubox) Thanks for the help so far ?

FINALLY worked out how to draw the shape of the stepper motor hub, to create the turntable for a curing station.

To do -

* add a relay to control the UV lamp
* add start button
* add small display
* reprint the motor base
* finish the Arduino code
