Based on my tests I have now 100% ruled out two things as possible causes of my printing problems. 1. Warped built Plate, measured and within 0.001" 2. Outside UV light causing the large resin "Skin" forming on the FEP, covered all printer Windows with heavy (65LB) Black Card stock to render the chamber 100% immune from both visible and UV outside light sources...... Moving on from those as possible print error factors.

How thick can the walls be on a hollowed model before the UV won't cure the inside? 3mm? 4mm?
Using Elegloo gray.

Offbeat question... If I use a transparent type resin with hollowed out models, will any resin still trapped inside cure under uv light? (that last bit that you either cant drain out or that you just didn't have room for good drain holes on)

The Photon has been a great addition to my online props site. I design, print and sell 8" and 12" figure props and stuff. Since the arrival of the photon, my business has increased 1000% because of the addition of HD resin prints for small this like weapons and custom head sculpts for the figures. I sold them before but not many due the quality of the FDM printers I was using. This being said I print a lot and in different colors mostly 3 all the time. The headache was the changing of the resins between colors and the mess. I was lucky to find the other day on Ebay, Original NEW resin vats from Anycubic selling for $32. I grabbed 2. They arrived today and I'm stocked for a long printfull weekend. I also print covers for the vats to prevent stray uv light or dust to get in the resin. So I strongly suggest t get 1 or more additional vats to make our printing life easier. www.actionfigurestuff.com

for those of you that are new to getting a Photon, I highly recommend you get these kits to further help you along your journey. Sure, everyone is going to Cry, bitch, and complain about these, but seriously, I don't care what your opinions are... these work WONDERFULLY for me.

The first one is the Formlabs Finish kit. Sure.. it's $100ish but it has EVERYTHING you'll need to get started cleaning up your prints. I would also recommend that you use Mean Green from Lowes. A 1 Gallon container of it is less than $5.
I would also recommend getting a soft toothbrush to clean the part with.

https://formlabs.com/store/form-2/accessories/finish-kit/

The second is this 4" inline filtration system for about $100 as well. You will need a part off Thingiverse to get it to mount to your printer.

With that, you can print in your room without the need to filter out the smell out of the room or need open windows etc.

A uv nail lamp with removable bottom: $30ish
https://www.amazon.com/MelodySusie-Professional-Setting-Manicure-Pedicure/dp/B07PV8CG91 You can make your own curing box with this and a foil lined box to put your part in. You will also need a turntable to put in your curing box... $8

I’m new, and will happily go read resources if needed, but I couldn’t find anything specific for this.

I’m only on my second model - after taking it off the build plate, I drop it in an IPA tub and swirl it around for a good ten or so minutes.

Lacking a UV curing system, im leaving it outdoors on my porch to cure. Today is an overcast damp day in New England, so I expect it’ll take longer to cure.

How do I tell? It seems a simple question - but how do I know when the model is cured? Dry to the touch? Does the opacity change? I have noticed they go from a nice gloss translucent to a more opaque (using the resin supplies with the printer).

Hi, yes I'm a noob, just running my first print on my Photon S. How long does the Anycubic green need to cure under UV? once the print is cleaned?

Really starting to get the hang of this! A few questions:

What's with the white spots? I'm going to paint this so I'm not worried.

Even after the UV curing, it seemed sticky. Did I not cure it long enough? I put it under a lamp for like 30 minutes

Once the print starts it stops completely. Im kinda scared because i dont wanna burn out my LCD/UVLed Array. Should i revert back to the last firmware??? Please help!
