Hey all hoping someone else has come up against this one. Just updated to chitubox 1.6.1 from 1.5 and stupidly I didn’t realise that you could export your support settings until after the event. After upgrading all my settings in 1.6 seem to have reverted back to the default out of the box values.

“No worries” thought I, “I’ll just copy them over from 1.5”.

Opened 1.5 back up, looks like all those settings have been reset also ?

Does anyone know if there’s a way to reverse/recover the settings or is it just a case of chalk that one up to experience and start again?

My first post! I've been lurking and all of the advice shared here has been super helpful.

I was recently hired to recreate a character from the Spiderwick Chronicles movie for one of the authors. I delivered 11" tall FDM printed versions in 2 different poses. This smaller 5.25" version is just for me and was made on my recently acquired Photon.

Sorry, but I cannot share the STLs.

It was modeled in Zbrush Core and then posed in Blender. This was only my 3rd model in Zbrush so I still have a lot to learn. The extremely high poly count made it difficult to pose in Blender, but I managed by using a lower poly model and then copying the influence weights.

As you can see, the detail is quite good. I used Elegoo Grey and the settings directly from the community chart. Chitubox for the slicer.

Okay so now I think I'm just being stupid this is the Titan motors at 1/1 44th and the dream chaser at 1/72nd scale. And I think I'm starting to reach a physical end of print limit. But then again I keep telling myself that and keep trying anyway. Onward and upward everyone have a good 2020. If you don't try new things you'll never know if you can do new things.

What in the name of Zeus is happening here (settings posted) this is a mix of monocure rapid / monocure flex — very steep learning curve from FDM .. I just don’t get it ??‍♂️

Couldn't find settings for the S variant like for the regular photon via spreadsheet so if any users need some help here you go. I'm starting to dial in some resins and mixtures. Will post more if I test again. These settings are based on the new resin XP finder for the Photon S and confirmed by actual model printing.
Anycubic Grey: Layer height: 0.05mm Normal exposure time: 6 seconds Base layer exposure time: 60 seconds (rock hard adhesion, if model is directly on plate you should lower it) Base layer count: 8
Anycubic Grey 70% + Monocure Flex 100 30% : Layer height: 0.05mm Normal exposure time: 8 seconds Base layer exposure time: 70 seconds Base layer count: 8

Resins to be tested in future which I have right now: Anycubic Transparent Green Monocure Rapid Black Monocure Flex 100 at 100% as a seperate not as a mixture Other Monocure Flex 100 mixtures Peopoly NEX HiTemp Flesh 翻譯年糕

Has anyone used monicure's "rapid" resin? 3DPrintingCanada has an amazing deal on their 1L bottles, and they look pretty good. What do you guys think? Yea or nay?

Had anyone tried monocure flex with rapid CLEAR resin? I'm having trouble printing the exposure tests, its almost not curing at all. I tried 70/30 and now im trying 75/25.

im stupid and accidentally pulled up/cut (not all the way through) a little of the FEP while trying to pull off failed prints with the spatula...do i need to completely change it now? (be gentle, my first resin printer)
