I need help. What am I missing here? After hearing so many recommendations here about Monocure Rapid resins I have decided to take the plunge and try them. Over twice the price of Anycubic resin, but hey!, it supposed to be amazing. Except I would say otherwise. I have spent last week trying to get a good print from Monocure and I have been constantly failing. I run exposure calibrations etc, prints still come out like they are overexposed. On the picture, both miniatures have been primed black (please ignore fragments of supports and glossy finish) to eliminate colour differences affecting perception. The left miniature is Anycubic Gray resin on 0.02mm and 10s exposure. The one on the right is Monocure Rapid Black (actually a lot more translucent than anycubic gray) on 0.02mm and 4s exposure. I can't go any lower than 4s as the print will fail, more than 4s will cause even greater overexposure. Both prints are done in the same environmental conditions. Any thoughts? Should I return the resin?

Im probably about to sound really stupid but i need to move my resin printer from my garage to the inside. Its starting to get really cold where im at. My garage is like 30 degrees F right now and its gonna get colder. I was thinking about buying a dual vent and setting this up in my laundry room and using that duct to vent the fumes. You see a problem with this? Fumes might travel up dryer vent maybe?

I've searched the group and all over the internet and could not find an answer so I'm hoping someone here can help me.
What happens is when I print a file the height of the printed item is squeezed. I lose about 0.2mm in 4mm. X and Y dimensions are spot on. I print these items flat on the buildplate. The height of their base is not important just the bit above the base so printing with supports would not help.
The picture is just an example to explain. I'm printing something more detailed so I know that the distortion or squeeze is proportionate i.e. I'm losing a bit of every layer rather than losing the first few layers or a big chunk at the end or anywhere else.
The printer is leveled properly I've been using it for 18 months with no issues. I'm using Monocure rapid clear resin 0.03 / 12s / 1 (10 bottom layers 70 s exposure no issues with it sticking to buildplate). I suspect it has something to do with the resin or my settings because I have just checked previous prints where I used Monocure rapid Clear (30%) and Monocure flex (70%) mix and the heights came out perfect.
I'm trying to print functional parts so they need to be accurate in every direction.
Has anyone had similar issues and found a solution? Please let me know. Thanks

I am trying to dial in a new Photon S and while some prints are coming out fine - other prints on the same plate are failing to print at the extremities (producing a ‘flat’ print).

Is this bad levelling of the plate? Poor supports (I am using plenty of supports but only light ones)? Any advice would be much appreciated.

I am printing with Monocure Rapid Clear (I have primed the print in the pic). Setting are Layer Thick: 05mm, NET: 8, Off-Time: 1, BET: 60, BL: 4, Z Lift: 6mm, Z Lift S: 3, Z Retract: 3, AL: 1

Hi guys,
I've read and tried almost everything.
I own 2 photons and 1 photon S.
I have used ac green, black and siraya blu many times and had very small issues once in a while.

Now, switching to rapid abs like translucent elegoo, it looks like my supports are doing fine the first 4 mm, then they start to thin up and they then disappear. The weird thing is that this happens only with some supports, mostly on the corners.

I have used timings up to 14 secs and 6,5 light off secs, down to 11 and 1.5 LO, but i still get these issues.

Last night i tried to print a small piece with a flat side on top of few heavy supports, starting at 5mms from the plate. After 80 some layers, the supports looked like they had a pointy tip and the photon never printed anything else after that.

What bugs me is that the lcd test worls fine, the rectangle shows fairly well and clear.

Temperature of the room is around 20degrees as i have two chirons working full time next to the photons and they are freaking heaters.

Here you see photos of the pigmented (with cmyk monocure 3d pigments) elegoo resin on both the photon and the photon s.

Also, i have been having these problems since switching to 1.6.1 chitubox software.

Any suggestions is very welcome as I am running out of ideas.
Thank you all for your time.
