So I got my photon s yesterday, had to wiggle the LCD wire to get the screen working but after that lvled it and had it wrong , but after that I relvled and boom a good print . Here's a fdm ender 3 in white and the photon is green .. worlds of difference

I am putting my Photon original up for sale. I haven't used it as much as I wanted too and I have little interest in printing miniatures. My 3 FDM printers keep me occupied aswell. If you live in the EU in the BENELUX area it might be interesting for you. I think I even have the original box and a 80% full anycubic green bottle. I have a Z axis upgrade with it but not installed and ventilation adapter mounted. asking price 320€

Is it safe to leave my photon printing all night while I sleep? I've heard of fdm ones causing fires and want to make sure that dsnt cross over to resin printers

Been printing with a clone FDM for about 4 years and finally ordered the photon ? should be here in a couple of days

In the mean time ive been reading posts on here about resins,

Seems to be a lot of good posts about elegoo resins, are they a good resin to start with for a beginner to sla ?

First photon printed kit primed and sanded, and painted with simple two tone color scheme. Plan to fully paint a larger version so just leaving this as is. Lesson learned: priming and sanding can bring perfect smoothness to most surfaces. Base was printed using fdm.

Hopefully a quick resin questions:

My father in law has asked me to print a custom louvered vent cover for an outdoor application. I was was planning on printing it on my FDM printer out of ABS but the supports on my PLA prototypes have been difficult to remove and my experience with ABS is that the supports are much hard to remove than PLA. So I was wondering if I should just print it on my photon.

My question is how with standard Anycubic resin hold up to being exposed to permanent outdoor conditions?

Apart from printing Yoda's, Benchy's and other models, I was wondering if anyone out there uses their Photon for creating more unusual, or even commercial products?

I appreciate that unlike the FDM printers with multiple filament types, the resins are a little more restrictive, but am sure there still some interesting alternative uses for the output from these machines.

Have people had good success printing dungeon tiles designed for FDM like the dragonlock ones in resin or is it better to just wait until I get an FDM printer?
