Cover for your Photon. Just take the white Stryo packing and slide it down over the printer. It will stop before it hits the knob. It is tight to get off though. This might keep it warming inside the printer too! I did find a company that makes a cover for $32.00 online.

You can also see the sinkmat that I found at weathertech. Works great!

What resin is recommended to create less hard minis? I assume a mixture of say AC gray and something else. What proportions and how does it affect exposure time?

Any idea why chitubox would shrink the size of my minis when slicing? I just got done with a print and the minis are about 20 percent smaller than they should be. The photon file clearly shows that the base is not 25mm as should be. Very odd! The elf woman fighter is the proper size.

I have been using the AC slicer for all my prints so far but I am not happy with the supports. I heard that Chitubox has supports with balls that are less obnoxious to remove/clean. I also know lots of people are using meshmixer. Is one better than the other? I am mostly making minis for our private DND games.

I just installed the photonfilevalidator and it is finding lots of errors. I am less than a week in. How do you fix the errors? Is this just pointing out where supports are needed. The FIX button repairs some of the issues but generally not all.

I want to print up some combat risers/platforms with clear resin. Any brands I need to watch out for?

Also looking for some more links for this type item. These are rectangular or cylinders that you can put your mini on while playing an RPG game.

Here are a couple of prints I made of sword and board guard. The first print the bottom of the sword failed to print and the shield failed in some fashion. The next print I used a bunch of supports probably a few too many but good results. The first print I lowered the exposure time. Raised it to 8 seconds on the good attempt.

Does this figure really need supports or was the failure from low exposure? If supports are needed how many and where. I was thinking about cutting back to one or two on the shield and maybe one on the pommel of the sword? I failed to save the slice with the supports I used. Can you convert a photon file back to stl?

Do you normally remove the supports prior to final curing?

I have been printing with the base of the mini on the plate. If I choose auto supports the program wants to add a bunch of supports under the base is there a way to avoid that?

Thanks for the help!

Thanks for the approval. Just got my Photon running last night. Test print came out really nice. On to some other minis.
