Many of you talk about ChiTuBox- and posts screen shots. I have downloaded ChiTuBox v1..3.6 (Windows 64bit) it looks nothing like the screenshots - in fact just like the AnyCubic version. Further more the sliced file doesn't work with the Photon. For the moment I'm back to using the AnyCubic Slicer. What am I doing wrong?

I was a bit worried about this, but it’s turned out OK. It is a stylised model of “ The Cube” in Birmingham ( UK not AL!) at 1:1000 scale it just fits on the build plate ( for width) the model is hollowed out to save on resin. There are a few layer lines on the top section, but that is not unduly worrisome. It was built true to the build plate, the only supports being at the bottom, and vertically in the hollow centre to support the roof. The basically flat sides are pretty good, and the visual result is far better that our FDM printer in the London office - and those models are done at 1:750!

Copenhagen Fields (Google it) is a 2mm model portrayal of the rail approaches to London Kings Cross in 2mm = 1ft scale ( Justin Colson, also of this group works on this too from time to time). A team of enthusiasts has been working on this model for over 35 years now. I wish we had Photon then! Anyhow with the help of my Photon, and clear resin, we now have a supply of Edwardian yard lamps for the goods yard. These are printed at 50 microns, 10 secs per layer with 8 x 50 sec base layers. The support cradles will be made from wire, and the posts modified commercial model ship gun barrels.

Axle boxes- loads of em. Really very pleased with the results, but a strange delamination between what I presume are the base layers in the (for want of a better description) sprue. I imagine this is where the base layers ended. The sprue was flat to the build plate.

So.... V2 of my 2mm scale GNR wagon has printed. Some lines evident across the buffer beam, but otherwise quite happy with this. I have been getting odd results with bulges, on the side angled toward the build plate. I have assumed that this is partly a result of pressure effects in the resin as the model is printed upside down. So V2 has had a good area of the floor removed to allow the resin to flow through. Generally this seems to have produced better.
There seems to be a lot of unevenness on the floor where the supports connect. Any tips to avoid this? Is is because incited resin gets trapped between the supports and is there fore difficult to remove with the alcohol? I use an ultrasound cleaner which does seem to work pretty well.
I am however pleased with the end Stantions and bolthead detail.

OK I set the printer running at lunchtime, now, some six hours later, I have some very nice roof fans and ductwork. This is at 1:152 scale.
I used Sketchup v16 pro for the 3D modelling, and the AnyCubic sliver supplied with the machine to place supports and slice.
The resin is AC grey, o.02 layers 12 sec exposure, 6.5 off. 50 second exposure for 6 base layers.
Rinsed in Meths for 5mins in an ultrasonic cleaner, then a final rinse in clean IPA, before support removal, then a final cure under a nail lamp.
I have to finally file the support remnants away. But on the whole very satisfying.

How long will the FET sheets last? After only a very few prints my sheet is showing some "micro-scratching". This dissapears when wetted with IPA, but becomes apparent again on drying.
I have used standard paper kitchen towels, wetted in denatured alchohol, then IPA for a final clean.
The last print had two identical models on the build plate, one of which did not stick, so left something of a mess in the VAT, (after 6 hours of printing!).
Is it safe to pause a print after say an hour of printing, to lift the platform to inspect the progress, and then resume printing?
