Does anyone know how to open an steady sliced file in Chitubox? I printed a model and the support needs some revision, but I don't want to start over. It's 99% correct, just a few tweaks needed. When I try to open it, Chitubox crashes.

Tricky to get the lettering to read nicely and get good tread without supports all over the tire. All the lettering is readable on this 1" diameter tire.

I installed the Physics Anonymous Z wobble kit. Here is the first test of the effectiveness. The first picture has pretty obvious horizontal lines/waves across the fender bulge on this model car. The second picture is with the PA kit. The lines are gone. The last picture is the assembled car ?

Verdict: substantial improvement for the kind of critical work I do. Fixing the surface flaws on the first part would be hours of work. The wobble on the stock printer isn't horrible, but the the modified printer is much better. Actually, when I leveled the the build plate after installing the kit, I immediately noticed that when tightening the grubb screw, the column didn't twist. Rock solid. This is good.

Installing the Physics Anonymous precision carrier on my Photon. Going very well, although there are a lot of holes to tap! One little issue I've discovered, the bottom surface of the column is only "approximately" square. This surface needs to be absolutely square. Looks like it's going to require some milling machine work.

Received some linear slides today. I'm going to convert the Z axis using the Physics Anonymous part. It's ordered, but arrival is unknown as it is "out of stock".

These slides are so much nicer that I expected them to be given the super low cost. About $20 each. They have zero lateral movement on the rails and they slide very smoothly. This is before disassembly, cleaning and re lubrication.

I spent the last few days creating a new hood for a model kit. This was easy to print, but very difficult to model. I made 7 versions of the hood before I got if to fit acceptably.

I've been printing successfully for some time now, but I decided to do a little maintenance. Checked everything, cleaned, etc. Two suggestions:. Re level your build plate, mine was no longer properly tight on the sheet of paper, and relube the lead screw. The grease applied by the factory was pretty scarce.

These tires were printed flat to avoid steps on the faces and to help render the very small Goodyear Blue Streak type. Two are perfect, two are very flawed. I've had this happen before and it was called "bleeding through". I've yet to get an explanation of what's happening. Who knows what's going on?
