Hey everyone. What is the latest Phontonster's recommended firmware for the Original Photon? As it stands, I am currently running V4.2.18_LCD F2.9 and the Photonsters 2.8UI - V190513.

I am trying to dial in a new Photon S and while some prints are coming out fine - other prints on the same plate are failing to print at the extremities (producing a ‘flat’ print).

Is this bad levelling of the plate? Poor supports (I am using plenty of supports but only light ones)? Any advice would be much appreciated.

I am printing with Monocure Rapid Clear (I have primed the print in the pic). Setting are Layer Thick: 05mm, NET: 8, Off-Time: 1, BET: 60, BL: 4, Z Lift: 6mm, Z Lift S: 3, Z Retract: 3, AL: 1

Sometimes you just gotta cross your fingers and let ‘er rip!

16hr print of my RC body remix of a Cybertruck model found on Thingiverse.

Looks like the supports that are supposed to connect at the end with the front end already failed (my fault for not adding some large ones like I did to the side), but hopefully it comes out good enough.

(This was scaled to fit the build volume, not any specific RC chassis. Once printability is proven I’ll get it up on Thingiverse.)

Posting an update. Got it to print 'something' finally. This is the 2nd 'almost' full print. (it randomly stopped again but near the end so ok) But lots of warping and lack of detail. Here is the same part printed with filament for comparison. Please let me know if anyone knows what going on here. Otherwise, I'll keep trying different settings. Thanks.
Getting kind of jealous of all the people pulling off amazing prints with this machine.

Does anyone have suggestions for a way to tint clear resin post cure, like a translucent paint or something. I want to have different colors per model but don't want to taint a whole vat with dye.

Edit: For those that have this same question, the answer is stained glass paint. And to prevent yellowing, try under curing with a spray coat of clear UV resistant varnish.
