I recently got an Anycubic Photon and this is my latest batch. I am using Anycubic’s white resin, I set exposure for the bottom at 60 and exposure for the rest at 10. I tried leveling it twice before printing. Does anyone have any tips to help prevent more partial prints? I took an individual picture of the crossbow Goblin to show that the support for the back part of the crossbow did not print.

Let me preface this with that Im really new at 3D Printing. I picked up a Photon of their site during their sale. That said I recieved a "Fauxton". I've been doing research and its apparently a Photon with Photon S guts.
Long Story Short. My prints keep failing after releveling multiple times and trying different resins ( Anycubic red and Green) could it be a problem with cure times being to short since the guts are different then a stock Photon? It's been frustrating me for a few weeks. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi,
I use Chitubox 1.6.1 to set the supports and then the Photon File Validator to check for islands. Now I face an issue with a model that has about 4700 layers (0.02). The tool finds over 1000 layers with islands. So I started the fix action. But after over one hour the tool is still running. Windows task manager indicates the tool is still running but I'm not sure if it crashed. I tried a second instance with 0.03 layer height ( also over 1000 islands and about 3200 layers). Same result after about one hour of running. Do I need to wait even longer or is the model too big for the program? File size is about 170mb for 0.02 layer height and 113mb for 0.03.

Any suggestions?

Then I need some advice.

I have tried to print this 3 times. Every time I get the edges "melted"?

I have tried to turn it around (upside down) but the same thing happens. And every time it appears at the transition between supports and model.

What to do, to avoid this in the future?

Update: It was leveling all along. I’m a bonehead, but At least I’ll own up to it!

My stuff simply isn’t printing today. There isn’t any polymerized resin in the bay or on the build plate, so it’s not leveling. It’s not the light source because the test shows the rectangle. What should I troubleshoot next? The USB? I should say, I’ve had the photon for 5 months with 0 issues...until now.

I’ve tried leveling the platform with the Flint Read method and the regular by the manual method. For some reason my platform seems to think it’s level like this, being clearly angled forward.

One side is printing thicker then the other. Other than that my prints aren’t failing and everything seems fine in the result. But that might be because I’m doing 8 initial layers with 80 seconds each.

Is something wrong with my platform? What can I do to get it real level? Or should I just not bother and carry on since the prints seem to be turning out fine?
