Making a chunky lil friend for my sister for Christmas, she's moving at the start of next year and can't take her pony with her to the big city so I thought I'd give her a smaller version. This is my first miniature sculpt if you can call it that and third thing I've printed including the test cube.

So my last print finished off the last of my anycubic green and I noticed that the spot in the center is rough to the touch compared to the dry area around it. Advice?

I figured out that the vat holds about 9-10 tablespoons of resin.

1 Tbsp Flex + 9 Tbsp regular = 10% Flex
2 Tbsp Flex + 8 Tbsp regular = 20% Flex
etc.

And if you want to be extra careful to not overfill,
1 Tbsp Flex + 8 Tbsp regular = 11.1% Flex

Which is pretty damn near the same percentage as using the full 10 Tbsp.

For better mixing, pour the amounts into another sealable container, rather than directly into the vat, and shake it (or roll it to avoid bubbles). Then after your print, save the remainder in the jar (and label it) and keep it out of sunlight.

So in working with the plant based resin, it appears to not take paint well. I airbrush primer let it dry for over a day, still feels gummy and peels right off. The green stuff that came with printer, primed just fine.

Quick question please. Regarding my first proper print, Im 20% in and as each layer is being printed , Im hearing what sounds like a "tearing " sound as the printers platform moves up a level. Sounds like the solidified resin being torn from the vat. Is this normal or is the exposure incorrect (thats just a guess). I paused the printer had a look at whats printed so far and looks okay. Am i paranoid or is this a concern. Thanks in advance.
