For those that use the Prusa method for auto-supports, I have a cool little update. Danny from this forum posted a great video on the process which can be found here:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S4KRazqrMjE&lc=z23qfpayiubqudwffacdp432r5m1r3buhg2ss521sodw03c010c.1572543787414509&feature=em-comments

I posted a comment about how I wished it offered the flared edge like Chitubox does to help get it off the build plate. Lo-and-behold, someone commented that you can!

Here's what he said...

"Not sure if this is what you mean, but go to: "Print Settings" tab at the top, then "Pad" in the left menu. Make sure that "Advanced"(yellow) is selected at the top right, and edit the "Pad wall slope" to the desired degree. I use 45° and it creates a slope that let's me remove the raft more easily."

I haven't tested it, but I'm about to now on my buddy christ! 翻譯年糕

When you export a STL (object and supports) from Prusa Slicer, is the support density lost? When you export a STL (object and supports) from Prusa Slicer, is the support density lost? 翻譯年糕

On a train so can’t check software. Does anyone know if you can alter the support depth, contact diameter etc for supports on the Prusa Slicer?

By far the largest project I’ve done with my Photon (base printed with my Prusa).

Still some finishing work to do on it, but very happy with the results so far.

Everything printed at 40% scale.

Be sure to turn your sound on as well ?

Does anybody who uses the Prusa Slicer auto generate supports know how to modify the default Z lift height or if that's even possible? Thanks!

Two questions for you all with more experience.

1: Is there a resin that cures a little closer to say forgeworld/gw resin models? A little more soft when going at it with an xacto?

2:Can some of you share your support settings? I am using Chitubox(I know Prusa is highly recommended but I have yet to figure it out haha). I was tinkering with my settings and now my supports seem to be leaving a little bit larger marks to clean up, hoping someone has some good suggestions. I mainly use Elegoo 3d rapid Grey(is this also what everyone refers to as Elegoo Grey or are there two versions?) and have two bottles of Siraya Tech Blu to try, if the resin types matter.

Thanks!

has anyone seen this as an error? I'm adding supports via Prusa slicer and slicing for the Photon S with Chitubox. The file on the right is the same as the left but before hollowing. Though maybe the change when hollowed is the issue. Any suggestions are appreciated. I have not updated the Photon S firmware and am running with the .photons file extension.

So I’ve been using the anycubic branded slicer til today and I just switched to the full chitubox slicer, and really like the improved interface. I’ve noticed only a few people using the prusa slicer. since I have a prusa fdm it would be cool to use a single slicer for everything. Is there a reason that it doesn’t seem to have the same adoption rate? Is there a strong reason to adopt or not adopt prusa slicer for the photon?
