Anycubic Photon Printer Owners 造訪社團 » IPA

I have Photon S and im trying to print durable resin/ plastic rings and small jewelry for my GF.

Every print was successful and detailed but very brittle (using anycubic green resin) almost for one use :/ .

So i bought monocure rapid flex100 and made mixed 15% with anycubic green. But even after that every ring i print is brittle or weak and breaks after few days or even hours.

Any ideas?

Those are settings and some photos.

(Those white rings are discoloured because i cured them when they were still wet from water [after IPA] )

EDIT :added settings for supports

Good video that explains emulsion separation with salting. Mixing water and IPA. Wonder if adding salt to your leftover IPA will separate the resin out of it? Geek thing to try on the weekend. Vinicius Silva

Hey all, my Photon is on the way and I've been wondering how people go about disposing of uncured resin from their IPA baths. I've seen it said that you can leave the bath out in the sun and the resin will cure into a thin crust at the bottom of the bath, but the sun isn't all that reliable here in Ireland. Would it cure while still in the IPA under a UV lamp?

For those more experienced users out there, how do you cure the inside of your hollowed out models, I placed holes in the feet and the head of the model to let the resin out and made sure I filled the inside with IPA to remove excess resin but it still smells strong of uncured resin. I’m using Wanhao Grey resin at the moment so not translucent.

Im confused about holes. I printed some chess pieces, but after soaking in IPA it looks like there is IPA vs liquid resin inside the head and base of the pieces, I dont get where I should put the holes, on the bottom of the base, underneath the head? what is the best use of holes to let the resin drain, I want as little hands one as possible, time I spend messing with pieces = profit loss when I move on to printing minis Ive sculpted.

red arrows are where the most liquid is seen inside the pieces

So after trying a few times, I'm at a loss as to why this is happening. Using Monocure Rapid White in a cold house (~13c, no heater yet).
What I've tried:
-Using the settings from the resin wiki (60s bottom, 5 bottom layers, 11s layers), original settings were chitubox defaults
-warming up the build plate (with a hair dryer on max) and resin (hot water bath) before attempting to print
-cleaned the build plate with pure IPA (and make sure it evaporates before starting the prints).

Model being printed: https://www.myminifactory.com/…/3d-print-nine-tailed-demon-… (41% scale)

Notes about my printer:
Can't remember which firmware version (should be latest)
Cardboard tube is filled with carbon pellets to assist with the smell
Raspberry Pi 0W being used as a wireless flash drive

What is the best solvent for cured resin? Let’s just assume a clumsy unnamed person knocked over their ipa dip and the resin cured on the tabletop.

Hi all had some resin cured on the build plate in places after a print not had this before! ? I’ve scraped it off but still seeing these outlines of were the resin was ? Shall I soak in ipa over night?

Made 3 prints with same resin and settings. Cleaned with different cleaners and then rinsed with water before putting them out in the sun for curing. From left to right: Tek1969, Denaturated (?) Methanol and IPA. No big difference between the alcohols, slightly "clouded" surface. Tek1969 gave a clear surface.
*EDIT* Denatured Ethanol, not Denaturated Methanol...
