Ok so I was doing an exposure test with poly juice which apparently cleans with water. Thought I had rinsed it all off the build plate before i put the whole thing to cure as per the instructions. Didn’t get it all. Any tips on removing cured resin from the build plate without damaging it ?

UPDATE: Second print was a success! As suggested by Colton Wilkins , it appears to have been the protective film from the FEP. This wasn’t mentioned in the instructions or in any tutorials I watched, so hey! Watch out for that, I guess! ? Anyway, thanks for the help... on to the fun stuff!

Hey, gang! Finally got my Photon set up and ran the test print last night. Leveled with paper method. Not sure what the problem is, so I don’t know how to search for an answer on my own, so I’m hoping someone has some suggestions! Lattice is totally intact, but the “Photon” nameplate failed to print properly. Lots of filmy pieces stuck to the latticework. Also several chunks of partially cured resin in the vat, and a layer stuck to the FEP. Is this last bit normal? Thanks in advance!

Picked up my anycubic photon today and set it up as per the instructions, tried to print the test cube and it’s failed twice. Looks like it may have failed to pull away from the film but I’m not sure. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

New to resin printing - just got a Photon S today.

Set it up as per instructions - but tests prints keep failing!

Nothing adhering to the printing plate at all. Tried 3 times to print the sample cube. All 3 times I checked on it after an hour or so and nothing at all was on the plate. Do I need longer exposure times? Do I need to re-level?

I'm using the translucent green that came with it.

Thanks in advance! I can't wait to start using it!

I need to replace my LCD screen.
I see several videos on it. Does anyone recommend a particular one they used?

needs to be pretty straight forward and extensive in the instructions.

Hi All,

Bought my Photon in November last year from AnyCubic's eBay store. It sat in its box in my office until this last weekend when an opportunity presented itself to create something.

Unboxed it, set it up following the instructions and all was well apart from the plate not tightening up and when I tried to use it the USB port wasn't working.

Contacted Anycubic, Then found this site and the comments about the plug falling out of the motherboard during transit. Opened her up and sure enough that was the issue. Plug back in and USB stick is readable. So cancelled that ticket with Anycubic :-)

Dismantled the print plate to find the reason the grub screw was't working was there was already one deep in the hole.! Using that one the head could be levelled and locked in place. :-)

However. Now the unit wasn't working at all. Z-axis jammed stationary but making a motor drive noise like it was trying, fans not working and main LCD dead.

Contacted Anycubic (again) and their customer support have been extremely rapid and helpful. Sent me a print to run that generates a diagnosis file. When I sent it to them they assessed it as a faulty motherboard.

Asked for my delivery details for a replacement which I gave them and got a message today saying its on its way to me.!! The tracking info they gave me suggests its coming from local so fingers crossed unit will be all fixed and running very soon.

Hell yeah! Successfully replaced my Photon S screen and the fucker is back up and running!! ? ? ? ? Thanks Anycubic for the free screen, but some instructions would have been nice. I was so stressed out fumbling through the instructions.....

Hey team! I have a replacement screen for my Photon S in the mail right now but I can’t find any information on how to change the screen online. One done this and have instructions they could share? I’ve opened up the bottom and it’s unfortunately not set up the same as the Photon Original. ?

Anyone found a guide for replacing the Photon S screen? I’ve got a replacement coming in the mail but can’t find instructions and it’s finitely a bit different inside.

I put the epax firmware update on my drive and plugged it in. Photon beeped a ton. The screen is now inverted colors and the beep is twice as loud as it used to be. The it shows it being on the new firmware but I never printed the update files like the instructions say. Did I do something wrong?
