How big of an issue is the Z wobble and the lower UV power on the Photon compared to other printers in that "class"? I'm looking at Elgoo mars, Epax X1 and Photon like prolly every other newbie out there but I just can't decide..

Me again, apologies for all the questions but I'm a complete noob. Elegoo has a recommended UV cure of 405nm, the MelodySusie nail lamp I bought to cure prints chucks out a 365nm wavelength. Will it not cure at all or just cure slower? I've had successful prints and 'cured' them with this lamp but have concerns that it's not actually curing them. Being noob, I'm not sure what classifies as cured.

just got replacement top glass cover top plate for covering the LCD.. on by back of my LCD is a metal cover am I supposed to remove that?? what is the process. when I plug the LCD in I see light projecting behind from the light but nothing on the screen is that becouse the metal plate on the back needs to pop off first?

so whats the best way to post process a print?

i have done it like that:

- Remove Print from buildplate

- Wash it in a glass with IPA (shake it soft) like 3min
- waiting for IPA to dry
- cure in sun/uv Lamp (does this also work on a cloudy day?)

i havent dont the last step.

any other ideas?
i heard about warm water after IPA Bath?!
or curing in water?

Follow on from yesterday's post.

Hey I'm having an issue where my fep and screen are sticking together (like a glass protector of a phone) this "I think" seems to cause light to bleed though and cure a thin layer in the bottom of the vat, prints come out fine but I have to clean the vat out every time.

Just to make sure everyone knows I did remove both sides of the protective film, it's the spare one that comes with the machine and i have cleaned the fep and glass with ipa at least 4 times now and let it dry before sliding the vat in.

Might try a new fep but before i do does anyone have any idea? Thanks.

Does anyone else have an issue with the FEP sticking/gripping to the glass as you are trying to slide the vat into the machine?.

Only started doing it since i have replaced the FEP (was the spare anycubic one you get with the machine and i did remove both sides of plastic.

Just to be sure its not leaking and i have cleaned both surfaces with ipa and even tried furniture polish but it still does it. Any ideas?

I checked the photonsters.org FAQ and didn't see an answer to this question: Can I cover the box during a print with the foam shipping sleeve that it shipped in? I'm worried about dust and daylight getting in. Does the yellow glass really work? I'm in a room with lots of windows and daylight. Would the foam sleeve make the box too hot?

best filter mod for the photon? must be refillable with over the counter activated charcoal.

the teachers have shown interest in seing it during our classes 3d print week that is coming up, but I have to filter fumes due to local health and safety rules.

considering making a large volume canister for the back with a fan from an old computer, but making something that has been tested would be easier

Hi guys, how often you replacing lcd on classic photon (not S) ? I think that after 5-6 months is too soon, but have no other tip why i print models with holes like that. Of course I see some "spots" while "UV test" :/
