Anycubic Photon Printer Owners 造訪社團 » CLI

Hi! Just got an Anycubic Photon S, very happy with print quality, rigidity, etc. I've previously used a few MP Mini SLAs and Wanhao D7s and probably printed 100s of parts, so I have a decent amount of experience with more difficult SLA printers. I've been running into a new problem that I've never seen before - I've been getting random bubbles / holes (they're usually spherical) in every print so far. For threaded part, it's been on average 2/8 parts per print. I let my resin sit before printing, so I can't quite imagine that to be the cause. They're not in the same location either, so it's not LCD issues. Any ideas? The crazy thing is I even printed the same array last week on the other printer without any holes and with the same resin (Siraya Fast Green)

I'm currently setting up a camera to try to catch what's going on. Anyone knows if there's a way to change lift height (or speed, in case that's the problem) on the Photon S?

Also, is it bad that the FEP clings to the LCD? On another printer I used (with a VERY weak Z-axis), this was something that you had to avoid. No apparent problems due to that so far, though; the Photon S rails are incredibly rigid compared to everything I've used so far.

So rad ! Clint's done! I can't explain how awesome it is to finally see something in real life after working on it on your monitor for so long. Base just needs a tiny bit of cleaning up. All of the 1/4 Man with No Name/Bondie/the Good/Joe/Manco pieces are done! One last round of clean-ups before I sent i to Paul Gill for molding/casting. Excited! Better pictures over the weekend :) 翻譯年糕

Decided to set recalibrate my printer since my print failed yesterday and have noticed something odd.
I set the z=0 when the paper has some friction and moves the build plate. But then if I move the build plate up about 100mm and click home it doesn't go quite as low as a set it and the paper moves freely with maybe more than 1mm to spare. Is this expected?

I've been using the CLI version of decreasePixel on every print and it does exactly what I want despite the warning on Photonsters GitHub. But using the command line is getting boring, so I've just tried to use the GUI version. Running it in WINE on Linux Mint 18.1, it keeps failing with an error when I open the file open dialog box. I've tried both the recommended 32 bit version, and the 64 bit, but both are the same. Has anyone got it to work, or should I give up trying?

Business idea for some?

Not on a photon, and only for my personal use, but for those of you looking for a business idea, I have posted three of these "keyslips" in last two months on my various motorcycle groups, and been absolutely flooded with request to make all kinds of keyslips from Iron Man to porn style keys. Motorcycling is now a luxury buy, and clients are cashed up.

I cannot make or sell these as I run a B2B printing and casting house, conflict of interest) but have directed several interested people to local jewellers to get them to take the jobs, and pass to us that way. We have done Harley, yamaha, Honda and Ducati key slips now, guys prepared to pay up to 800AUD for the design and cast service. its a bit bizarre, but then, people who will place a container of flammable fluid between their legs, on top of a motor and travel at insane speeds are a little insane, so.. YMMV.

Illl post image of the other two I did in comments.

Totally new, sorry for dumb questions. My Photon is figuratively on its way (will be a Christmas present) and I've already started assembling STL files and trying to condition them ahead of time. These bases seemed a good introduction to printing. I've never done this before so I have no clue what I'm doing. I found another thread that mentioned using a 46.62-degree inclination for .05 layer height, which I expect to use. I used auto-generation for supports and this looks like WAY too few. Would you agree? How do I know what appropriate support structures look like? Are there guidelines?

Bonus question, with Anycubic's latest response, is the Upgraded S better for an introductory printer than Mars?
