I see tonight that my FEP is in contact with the LCD screen on some area. Its like he is sticked on it. Is it normal ? Should I check FEP tension ? Thx

I'm having issues printing the test file on my new Photon from Amazon. I noticed shortly before I stopped it that the cube was moving roughly 4+ mm side to side as it came up from the FEP. What do you think? Poor leveling? I'll go try again. I do have an FDM printer that I'm using to leveling. I used the manual method a couple of times and did verify it seemed correct by doing a test print with a piece of paper on the bed.

On a side note, the printer came with the LCD cable not fully seated. I fixed that and then shimmed the z-axis to be 90 degrees (it was leaning forward slightly). I had one completely failed print before this that I scrapped off the FEP which I'm nearly certain was due to poor bed leveling (I thought at first it was the screen cable and reseated that again but then realized I'd not set z=0 correctly).

Here is a new 1. Bought a new lcd screen for the photon. Did 1 print and removed the resin tank. While removing the lcd was stuck to the tank, might have been vacuum sealed during printing, im not sure. I didnt have double sided tape last night to hold the lcd down in the printer but thought it would ok. I watched the lcd install video Anycubic has on YouTube and they didnt use anything to keep the lcd in place. Carefully seperate them but too late. Cable came right out the side of the lcd screen ? ? . Expensive mistake on my behalf.

Not blaming anyone here, this was my own stupid mistake. Only posting to prevent others to make the same mistake

Changing my LCD and ran into the first puzzling point. This mirror like surface isn't there on the original screen? Is it some protective sheeting or what? This one is straight from Anycubic so you'd think it would be similar.

Judging from my searches here it's some polarizing sheet and should be left on?

ok last question... for now...
How accurate is the support generator on the anycubic slicer? I am slicing an Alien but it seems to be a LOT of supports. I am showing without, with light, then medium supports. Which should I go with for this? Is the auto generation something I can trust?

(this is what I was printing earlier but turned into a solid block due to the LCD not working right)

Need some thoughts on if my Photon LCD cooler would work. You would have to take tin-snips to the reflector.

I don't actually have my Photon open but if anyone has their reflector out, I would love some exact dimensions of the frame and mounting holes.

It is designed around this:

Hey everyone. I've got my Photon partially taken apart to install a heater to print Siraya Blu resin. While apart I noticed that the Z rail is tilted forward relative to the LCD screen. I assume I'm going to need to fix that if I want dimensionally accurate prints? Thanks for any input.

Has anyone got patterning like this on prints, this is on my second photon I just got and havent encountered it before. This is roughly the orientation it was printed at. These seem a little more extreme than layers lines I'm used to and the one sides lines arent parallel to the LCD.

A problem: after a couple of prints I find some residue of resin cured on the FEP. They appear randomly and are very thin.
Prints are fine, settings ok, LCD also, all ok, but why these strange cured spots appear on FEP?

Hey folks.

My motherboard replacement finally got here, and in the process of plugging everything I accidentally pulled the lcd cable from the screen end. I am guessing I need to replace the lcd now as well? I can't see a way to reconnect the two.
