Does anyone know what causes this to happen? When I print anything, after a short time the printer starts doing this with the LEDs, resulting in a large block of resin the size of the LCD screen being printed. If I turn the printer off and on again it works fine for a short time. I have tried different models and different USB drives. I've had the printer 6 months and only printer a handful of times.

Changed my lcd today with an Elegoo lcd which I bought at half the price. Imagine my surprise, and dismay, that the stock lcd I removed from my photon was identical to Elegoo’s. Just my 2 cents, save your money on the lcd, but I’ll be damned if I don’t love me some Anycubic Grey resin.

So having a few issues with my lcd screen. I did a test and this is what happened. I then switched it on and off and the test corrected itself. So I thought I’d print something without build plate and VAT. I watched the bottom layers go on and I could clearly see the UV coming through the shapes and the background was black. Once it finished and started on the supports the background got lighter and seemed to let light through. Any suggestions? This is the standard photon and roughly half a year old

Replaced the LCD....not sure what is causing this. All the connections have been checked and are good. New screen ordered...but i am at a loss as to why this is happening....any suggestions?

I just want to say....got a Nova3D Elfin last week, messed with it for about 20 hrs trying to get a decent print. Finally got one only to have the on/off switch stop working. Boxed up sent back.

Ordered Anycubic Photon LCD same day. Set up and zeroed and printing in about 15 min. Printing test cube now (looks good so far). Smell seems not as noticeable. Quiet. So far I’m impressed. What a world of difference!

First, thanks for all the help and patience. One more firmware update question. Based on some Reddit I read, there should be three files to "print" for each update. I have the upgrade for Photon and Fauxton, both have only two files. Am I good?

Edit: the Photon (Not Fauxton) is not recognizing the update.LCD file, it "printed" the .bin file and confirmed.

So after some more troubleshooting, I've discovered that when I first turn my machine on, the LCD works great and the uv detection works. But after printing the first layer, the lcd stops working and uv detection no longer works either. Any ideas?

Has anybody seen this problem? UV backlight flickers (it is not LCD screen) while printing. However it is not doing that during UV Detection test. Any ideas?

Dear Photoner Masters,

My front lcd off, fans off, the only indicator that i see is red light under the z axis.

It was happened after i try to downgrade my 4.2.19 firmware to 4.2.3, i got it from github, because my other photon works with 4.2.3.

Is there any thing i can do to put my photon to last working state? or

Is there any way to hard reset the firmware to factory settings?

Or just pull the mainboard out and re-programing it?

Since my front lcd off, i cant do anyting.

Got a new one...any input is appreciated. Replaced the LCD with the elegoo screen. Have done this many times on other machines. When you run the exposure test the square lights up for a second and then disappears. I have checked the connections and all is correct, is it possible it is just a bad screen?
