Ugh....My lcd screen looks like it failed. Does this look like it needs to be replaced or is there something else? Does a 3rd party make a better quality LCD that won't fail in 20 hours? :(

I summon the masters of paint! I'm thinking to dive myself into painting as its the logic step up from having a lcd printer like the photon. I'm getting myself an airbrush like this (iwata like, may not be the best but i dont wanna shell out too much cash at once) for priming and painting jobs. Also vallejo primers (black-white), thinner, cleaner. What kind of extra things a newbie needs for this whole world? Please teach me your best beginner tips! Thanks and slice it up!

Once again begging for help with this issue. I can't believe I'm the only one that's had this happen. It's like my whole screen is exposing every so often. I've been trying not to update because I've been told I shouldn't here, but this seems like a software problem and I'm out of ideas on how to fix it. I have noticed on short z prints it doesn't happen. Not sure if the intervals of when this happens is tied to z hight or if the LCD is just glitching when it feels like it. I've played with settings and nothing has changed so that's not it.

My new “used” Anycubic Photon Resin 3D printer arrived today. Anycubic advised that it was a return from a dissatisfied customer and they sold it as packed when returned. Managed to get a pretty good deal $300Aud.
Condition was badly packed with loose build plate knocking about inside and uncleared resin also. The previous owner seems to have tried to use it, failed and just dumped everything back in the packaging without a thought for anyone else - a “Numpty” I think. Only missing the resin, gloves, one Allen key (lucky I have spares) and filters.

I cleaned it up and ordered replacement consumables and levelled the plate and tested the UV LCD and all appears to work as per manual. WhenI get the resin and stuff I’ll make some prints and post them.

Considering a new machine on eBay costs $417 Aud with 250ml resin,I’d say I’m about even as I just spent $100 Aud on consumables. Mind you, the consumables are 500ml resin,100 gloves, 10 filters, etc so I’ll be better equiped than with a new machine. I think. Anycubic might need to price these 2nd-hand returns sharper to entice buyers.

I’ll keep you posted. As things develop.

Quick question for the group: bad lcd or bad motherboard. Latest stable firmware. Flickering LCD looks like loss of vsync not UV problem.

Ok Photonsters I need some brain power. My problem is that I am getting some cured resin on my FEP after prints, in patterns/spots that don't make a whole lot of sense to me. The prints are coming out fine with no failures, I just get left with a goo/cured resin on my FEP. Here is what I've done in my troubleshooting.....

1) New USB

2) New FEP

3) New LCD

4) Re-level

5) Flashed Epax firmware that is supposed to combat frame shearing

6) Run my files through the validator to correct any missed islands

These are files and prints I've printed in the past without issue, so that leads me to believe it is happening between my computer and the machine. I use Elegoo Grey and 8 base layers @60 and normal layers @11. Again, these are settings I've used fine for months and months and based off the resin exposure test I did here. I'm open to suggestions here, I'm pretty stumped and think I've gone through all the appropriate checks here.

Hey guys

I have been running for a couple of months and had a couple of problèmes, which needed that I flash the firmware a couple of Time: z not Working , fan not Working and the uv light ( LCD screen ) Who begin to flicker like crazy at some point.
That last bug, the flickering, happened like 2 Times on the last weekend. I flashed yesterday and everything got back to normal. One successful print, and then another fail print with flickering problem this morning.

Does somebody has an Idea of what is happening? Anycubic support didnt offered any other suggestion than to flash the firmware last month when I reached put...
Thanks !

Hi I recently got my anycubic photon and I tried to calibrate the bed level but one side is closer to the LCD screen and I’ve tried to tighten and loosen all the screws but nothing seems to make a difference. I have also tried to print the file that comes on the memory card twice and the build plate moves up and down like normal but when it finishes the print there is nothing on the building plate, so I emptied the vat and at the bottom I found about three complete layers. I can provide the settings if needed.

Dang! I turned off the thing for a month and now I get a "lcd error code t_100" and it refuse to print...was working perfectly before?!
Any idea what could be causing this and how to fix it?
I tried to google it but with little luck so far...
