Hello. I've just fitted a new LCD to my photon. At first the test rectangle seemed fine, but the first test print came out badly. I've been back in the machine and reseated the LCD connection, and these are the results. The patterns that should be there are there, but there seems to be some other stuff too. Does the great Photon give mind have anything to offer?

Can anyone help me out,what can be the issue? should i change the lcd screen or UV light beneath it.

More cockpit parts... HUD and cockpit panels. I got really wierd aliasing on the HUD- the LCD showed strange layers as it printed so is it possible the file got corrupted?

I am new member and tomorrow will have my first Photon printer. I see pinned post with basic and important info about photon and how to print. Can you tell me what I need to 3d print like extra upgrades? Atm I am 3d printing save resin platform bracket and Vat Drip Bracket on my fdm printers.
I will start printing using ELEGOO LCD UV 405nm ABS-Like Rapid 3D Resin grey and will be grateful for any tips and settings for this resin.
I am thinking about making enclosure for this printer to take fumes out but not sure what fan to use and PSU for running the fan. Is it so bad smell or it is because safety? I will keep it in room for 3d printers.
Also can you tell me how loud is when printing? Can I run at night ?

I really like the Photon, but...

My LCD screen finally went, so I watched the videos, searched the group for posts, etc... and STILL managed to break the glass protector trying to get it off. And yes, I heated it before trying. The replacement from AliExpress won't get here until Nov 1.

EVERY LCD is going to have to be replaced. Why in bloody Hell would they put gunky double face tape under the protector that makes it difficult to remove?

Is there any backup method, like using a glass protector for a phone? I can't be without the printer for a month, so I'm about to order an Epax from Amazon. It'll be here tomorrow. I'll fix the Photon and give it to my son.

I guess I should have ordered a glass protector when I ordered the LCD to keep on hand .

Hi folks.

Can anyone suggest to me why my prints might be getting stuck to my fep half way thru the print?

I’m twice in a row this has happened now. I clean the vat out and re-levelled the bed, I also did 4 10sec tests each after cleaning the lcd screen with ipa.

Printer seems to run smoothly until about half way point.

I’m running anycubic slicer 1.36 and until the most recent 2 prints I haven’t had any issues!

Ok guys, curious about your thoughts. I’ve tried two lcds and this is all I’m getting from my test exposures. You think I damaged the control board somehow, or just bad luck with lcds? One of them was one of those cheap elegoo ones, so there may be some compatibility issue there in spite of the specs being the same. I did make super sure to get the adapter on the right direction.

So In replacing my LCD, during the removal process, only half of the LCD came off and now i cannot remove the other layer of the LCD from the glass. Does anyone know where i can purchase another glass so i can replace mine? i think it would be easier than ruining the glass i currently have.

Hello friends, it is the first time I almost filled the plate and I am having these problems is my second print that I do and I am getting these layers between almost all the pieces help me please I want to know if it is a problem of times and expocisions or is that my lcd is faking. Hello. I've just replaced the LCD on my Photon (original LCD got ripped off when it got stuck to the bottom of the vat). I checked the test rectangle, and all seemed fine. I leveled the build plate and did a short print to test the machine. The print came out with a lot of extraneous material. Upon rechecking the test rectangle it is now full of artifacts and lines on top of the basic test pattern. Is this a duff LCD?
