Now that the weather is colder and I’ve moved my photon s to the garage, I honestly haven’t had a successful print. Is it the cold weather? Can that impact the print? Should I heat the resin inside before putting into the vat or just run a space heater for a bit? When I say cold, I mean like 50 degrees at most Now that the weather is colder and I’ve moved my photon s to the garage, I honestly haven’t had a successful print. Is it the cold weather? Wow
Just reflected on my first month 3D printing...

I’ve worked out that I’ve made
6 monsters (mostly artisan stuff- a giant and. Ogre, a spider, a flying saurus, a large kroxigor sc and a scrap heap golem...!!)
200 infantry (100 halflings, 90 hobgoblins, 15 skaven)
25 cavalry (hobgoblin wolf Rider and halfling pony cavalry)
And lots of small scenery- campfires/mining equipment in my first month
And used exactly 3 bottles £40 resin

This is utterly bonkers....
Changed one FEP and used A LOT of gloves...

Printing a Hero Forge Mini... For a friend. I'm sorta newish to the Photon, having a few successful printed minis under my belt. I've watched many great instructional videos on settings and support placements... BUT my buddy provided me with a hero forge STL that has the base and wizard robes so close that I'm not 100% sure how to support them without making a mess...

Any pro tips? With one of my examples, I made supports on the bottom of the base, then edited them to extend through the base to the bottom of the cloak.. it's hard to see exactly what I was doing... Any help (ideas) would be greatly appreciated.

I work in a UK Government Accredited Test Laboratory, we qualify things for specific scenarios in the Aerospace/Defence industry. We are considering using 3D printed resin mounts for instrumentation or rather experimenting with them instead of aluminium CNC'd blocks. I'm hoping to get the go ahead to test a range of resins (printed at a range of controlled temperatures, cured at a range of temperatures, some under water) for durability, tensile strength, hardness and so on. The tests will be in the form of long thin coupons as well as the accelerometer blocks that we will be using. So I'm looking for the top 5 resins people here (mostly miniature modellers) would like to see tested. My number one go to resin is Sirayatech Tough Blu, I may add Fast and Sculpt in there, I will try Ameralabs, I hope to try Hero Resin and Monocure Rapid grey. Printing and curing is going to take the most time here the lab tests won't take long at all to see how much force they can take before breakage. So as long as I can get the resin (and clean the vat between each one etc) I am sure I can add some extra coupons into the testing no problem. Hit me up with your resins and could a Moderator make this a poll please - Which resin would you most like tested? (They will be printed on an EPAX X1 ? )

Hey, what are the maximum build plate settings I can plug into the workshop app for my Anycubic Photon? A print I set up earlier appears to still have a fair amount of size potential if I had scaled it higher. Mostly asking for an XY(um) and Z size recommendation

Hi all, new to the group, but I feel I already learned a lot. However, I do have a question. Is it possible to batch re-scale STL files? I'd like to make the Sulaco from Thingiverse, but the files are too large for the Photon, so I'd like to make it at 50% scale.
They issue is that it's over 120 files, so I'd like to automate the re-scaling if possible. Thanks in advance.

I print mostly minis for table top gaming and I am having issues with brittleness. Right now I am using Anycubic grey and I am looking to mix in some more flexible resin but looking for some advice.

The Monocure Rapid FLEX100 seems like a good choice since it seems to be effective at only 15% but the reviews talk about it having a very strong odor. My printer is set up in my home office closet and I have it venting into the attic with a inline duct fan so it is pretty well ventilated. The attic is ventilated and if needed I can run the closet vent through the roof but I'm worried if that is strong will I smell up the whole house. Anyone have any experience with this resin and it the smell that strong?

The other one I'm looking at is the Tenacious flexible resin from Siraya Tech. It is half the price but looks like it take higher mixture but what concerns me is it wants to print a 25C and my house it usually around 22C and I am not ready to modify my printer to add heat or heat up my whole hous the that temp. Has any printed at lower temps and did work OK?

Thanks in advance and please let me know if I'm missing any other options.

Ok people, what could have caused this to go wrong?

I printed this STL out last week without problems, decided to reprint at 0.02 rather than 0.04 to try and smooth it out a little and after 12 hours I came back to this.

So I recently got the cowboy bebop board game and wanted to print out minis to replace the cut outs that it came with. I can find files for the majority of the ships but I can seem to find one of Jet's Hammerhead, does anyone have/know where I could get an stl for it or how to make a stl from a 2d pic of the ship?
