Slowly making progress
Custom supports are working better then auto supports (mostly)
The messed up parts I didn’t put big enough supports on them....

I still need to dial in my settings more, I think I can get a lot more details out of this still....

The short leg one is the newest one, the second one was waaaay over exposed but the second try still has more detail showing now

I am still working on improving my manual supports. Been working all week with this model trying to not get columns of supports forming that are impossible to remove without damaging the print.

I have tried spacing them further apart and still getting some columns (mostly at the lowest points of the print). How do you guys stop these columns from forming? Am I still using too many supports?

Sorry that I keep coming back with the same question but I can't seem to find any solid info on this issue anywhere.

I would like to make a suggestion to the admins. Please modify rule 5.
It would read:
“No trading models. No links to STLs. No STL begging.”

Honestly, this is a fast moving group and people want crowd sourced support to the Anycubic. Those asking for the STL are not contributing to helping a user. The second problem is people using this to link to STL sales. There are other groups for both of those activities.

Just curious, I am planning to set up an online store to sell sculpt files for my miniatures.. When you buy STLs, do you prefer to have just the sculpt where you would add the supports and everything yourself, or would it be good to include a version that already has printer supports added and ready to print? I would probably just use Chitubox to make them.

Hey guys. I'm trying prep a model for printing, and the stl is pre-hollowed. I don't think it is big enough to make hollowing worth the work of supporting the inside islands. So, thought I would drop it in meshmixer and make solid. I set solid accuracy and mesh density to max (in an effort to keep the detail)...but it isn't solid. Any advice?

Okay so I tried manual supports for the first time. I'm using 3D Printing Pro's support settings, but I didn't do the bottom-to-top method he used because I can't quite "see" islands that way like he does. Instead, I scanned thru layer by layer and placed supports under islands I spotted growing by viewing from above, then zoomed around/below for red spots and placed more. Some questions:
1) These are mostly heavies. Are some too long on the horizontal? I tried to do what he says where you append supports off other supports to avoid pinning them to the model.
2) Under the base, it's not clear to me where I need to place them since everything is red, hence why there are a zillion there. Same for the HeroForge lettering... I just put supports inside every letter. Any tips? 翻譯年糕
