My printer plate is suspended above the vat in the air, and is not printing in the vat. Do I need to recalibrate ? I am new , and frustrated that the usb stick did not work.

Got my photon s and I’ve never had issues on my photon classic, I use prusaslicer for supports and use photon workshop to slice but I keep getting this artifacts, tried using a better usb and realizing important and checking files so I’m wondering if it’s a firmware issue

Right guys what would be the first thing you would print? I don't have the anycubic photon test USB stick so want to try something relatively simple, minimal resin etc. All I have done is chopped up an alien queen torso ready to fit my printer. But I don't want to use her yet as she is big.

Issue: Printer will not load USB, will operate without USB, freezes for indeterminate amount of time when USB plugged in.

USB: SanDisk Ultra USB 3.0 32 GB.

Tried: Quick Format of USB, long format of USB. It is formatted for FAT32.

I might pick up a smaller USB tomorrow, but would like to print the model sooner. The smaller would also be a 2.0 as opposed to 3.0.

Thoughts?

Hey there Photonsters!

I am having a problem that I hope someone can help me with.

I got my Anycubic Photon S on Monday and have been printing since - all of my models have come out flawlessly since then but yesterday, when I tried to put in another print I ran into an issue that I can't get around.

I have a great USB stick (not the one that came with the printer) that served me well for all the prints, but suddenly the screen on the printer started saying; "Failded to read file." whenever I stick it in and try and print.

The print screen on the printer, that usually shows a small picture of the slice is also empty.

Has anyone run into this problem before, and might know how to fix it?

So I caught the problem I've been having. I've never printed such a tall file before. It pops up as M11800 for a bit, then the printer detects that yes there is a USB drive connected, then tries to correct itself and resume the print.

Now so far it looks like unlike with the most recent firmware where it ended up offset when it corrected itself, ruining the print, with the downgrade it puts itself back on track. But the longer the print is the more often that bug pops up.

I already switched USB sticks to a higher quality one. Maybe the main board is overheating with the way longer prints. Or some other issue. But the firmware wasn't the root of this. And it only happens after many many hours into a print.

Finally some Success!
The only change between not being to print at all and printing this was a better USB stick. It did not randomly stop mid-print. Kinston 16GB.
Test print demon anime girl.
