How much "clear" space should I have around my Photon for airflow? I bought a new enclosure and I'm wondering if I have room for a second Photon.

Edit: I use a USB extension to connect the thumb drives.

I think most of us on here can agree that the supplied usb stick is nonetheless garbage.... What is everyone using as their preferred type of replacement usb thumb drive?

Hello guys,

try my first print today, of course the cube.
I guess what? It's a fail.

So could you help me with the troubleshooting.

First, I use a brand new USB stick.
I level the build platform.

I didn't change the exposition setttings, I've got a 28-08-18 sample green Anycubic (the dark green clear one).

The UV lamp works, in test mode and in print mode.
The Z motor works, in test mode and settings mode.

But when I start the print, the platform didn't move at all.
And the UV lamp exposes normally.

So, I've just got the disk in the bottom of the vat.

I suspect a problem with the .photon file in the original AC USB stick.
I will try tomorrow with the file from AC website.

Did you ever see this kind of problem?

I replaced the fep
Leveled the bed
Replaced the USB
Using resin monocubic black
My settings are in the comments.

I thought maybe it was the resin but I don't think it is. Still not getting anything to stick to the bed.

I don't know what the hell to do next.

Three weeks of having the printer sat in a box and I've finally got the workstation wet up. It's levelled and I'm trying to print the test cube. On a new usb as the supplied one was just terrible and full of corrupt files. Fingers crossed it works then I can get started with some proper printing.

First successful print, (bad usb prior attempt). I was looking for some trouble shooting and I could not find what I was looking for. What are the white spots? My guess was fracturing from removing supports, but they are also in areas with no support. The other thought was did I not clean enough resin off in the IPA before curing?
Its basic green Anycubic Reson and ran it at factory Slicer settings.

Is there a better slicer option other than the one that came with the Photon? I would love to blame bad USB sticks but I have had way too many oddly slicked models that require me to slice it over and over before it works. There has to be other options right?

Hello, I have small issue. When I update to current version of firmware the motor and UV lamp stop responding ( also fan ). Lucky the fix from github can get it to work again but only after the last step .gcode file "print" ... than when I try again to update the results are the same.. is the .gcode file missing from the original new firmware. Anybody have the same issue ? Also when updating the firmware thew first turning on with the USB it start beeping, I think 3 beeps and one long beep.. that repeats and than stuck on solid beep... I have to turn it off and on, than the machine beeps few time and boot up with new rom... its strange

So just got my anycubic all set up. Sliced a file with the photon software. Put the usb stick in the machine. Told it to print. And....nothing. Then about 5 mins later a loading bar came up like it was printing and giving me % finished. But nothing happened
