Guys, I'm interested in having another anycubic photon, my current anycubic that I use is an original photon, I'm looking to invest in another anycubic that is the photon S version. Do you think it's worth buying the photon S? Is there much difference between the original? It's worth the investment?

Ps .: Please do not recommend other brands to me, I am only interested in anycubic printer brand at the moment

Does anyone know what's the distortion temperature of the anycubic resin (the classic one)? i want to print a car button that can withstand the temperatures of texas

Hi ive just joined this group and hoping to find some answers to help with print bed adhesion. Ive been using the anycubic photon for a year now and ive had the occasional print not stick to the bed however i recently changed my fep(not for the first time) and the fep seemed much thicker than the previous one. I had a couple of successful prints with this but found when cleaning out the vat the fep had torn however there was no leak and it seems as if this fep sheet was 2 layers thick. The bottom layer was still intact and so prevented any leaks. This seemed strange and i assumed it was a quality control issue with this fep sheet so i changed it again. Now my prints will not stick to the printbed no matter what. I have levelled the bed about 10 times...oriented and reoriented the model, tuned the fep sheet using a soundwave reader, adjusted the printbed itself, warmed the room to 20 degrees c and the only thing i can think of now is getting some of that platebond stuff ive seen but id rather not spend money on that as you guys all seem to do ok without it.
Any advice on this would be appreciated as i just cant think of what else the problem could be.
Thanks

So what's going on here? Surface should be smooth and sides should be straight.

Hi all, thanks for the acceptance to the group.

So, I'm a total noob at the 3D lark but I bit the bullet and scored a Photon LCD which arrived today. Everything seems okay; UV Test appears fine, levelled the plate using the Flint Method etc. Can't do a Test Print yet as awaiting cleaning stock from eBay and the machine is @ -1000 C cos it's bloody cold out.

USB Stick was DOA. Well, the Photon saw it but the PC? It killed two of the USB slots on the PC but a reboot sorted that.

I have another USB stick that I've FAT32 formatted and D/L'ed then C&P'ed the Sticky Files (File_English_Photon.Rar - version 1) your page recommended into it.

Now, the Q's: From Anycubic.com I D/L'ed & installed "Workshop V2.1.20" and from the sticky I installed "Slicer64". What's the difference between the two? Are they the same sort of thing or what? Do either of them do what Tinkercad does?

I also note that my Photon is Firmware V4.2.17 - do I need to update it?

Thanks, Neal x

With my tax return around the corner, finally going to upgrade from fdm to resin... Should I go Anycubic or Phrozen?

Trying to help a friend. He just replaced the fep. He says he tuned it and didn’t see protective film. Anycubic Green. What do you think?

HELP REQUESTED.

this morning, the motor started making a thin grinding sound when peeling. when lifting, it's normal. also my fan is just idling instead of running at full speed when printing.

i have left a vat full of anycubic skin inside the printer for 3 days. printer covered up, no sunlight.

could vapours stick to the things? or should i prepare to buy a new motor? don't care about the fan. or is it a power issue?

other than that, there's no spillage, fep is good, the usb doesn't seem to have issues, temperature is optimal, etc.

had a failed print where the printer just stopped mid print. it raised the buildplate for a while, then back down to print level and stopped. file was sliced in chitu and validated with validator.

trying another file now.

free stl for who helps me out.

cheers

Have had a couple failed prints lately due to lifted/curling edges. Did a thorough cleaning/releveling/general systems check, and got this one to print alright, but as you can see the front facing side is still peeling, and the back side raft layer seems far thinner in comparison.

Any suggestions as to what I may be doing wrong or could try for better results?

Photon. Anycubic elegoo grey resin. Layer height 0.5. Bottom layers 8 with 60 second exposure. Regular layers 9 seconds.
