I'm in Canada, I cannot find bottles of resin online anywhere but 1 company that sells large bottles than the 1000ml ones.

Any suggestions?

I updated (Firmware) my Photon since that point only fails prints because of supports. I didn't change anything but the update (Firmware). same resin same slicer same settings. Can somebody help me understand what is the problem? I have been printing for years with FDM and 1 year with no problem with Resin. Any guide or youtube tutorial well be really appreciated. I really don't understand why will stop working or the change in my supports.

After over 200 print jobs taking anywhere from 4 to 11 hours each, most of the time running back to back jobs, I will have to say that being completely satisfied with my original Photon, is an understatement!!! Definitely the best first 3D printer I could have asked for!! Highly recommended!!! My original Photon actually outruns my 2nd printer, the Photon S !! AND... still the least expensive printers of this class and the least expensive resins !!! These pics are just a few of my original sculpts that I printed on the Anycubic Photon !! Hope you like!

“5 Hours Later”

WHAM!!! Dragon head!!! Neck is printing as we speak!!!

So happy with how this came out!!!

Rinsed it in IPA, let it dry for a few minutes, then swirled it in warm water for about minute.

Patted it dry with a paper towel, clipped all the supports off, rinsed in warm water again to get off any clingy support pieces and small resin scraps. Sanded down most of the contact points (but I left some of them on the neck because it actually looks like they are supposed to be on the dragon lol)

Cured it for about 2 minutes each side!!!

The detail on this print is absolutely amazing!!!

Just ordered my Photon, should be arriving Sunday. Any particular test prints or things I should know when setting up? I've been FDM printing for a couple years but this is my first resin printer.

Hey everyone.

Will acetone work as a solvent for rinsing excess resin off of fresh prints?? Or is it not strong enough?? Or Too strong? No idea.

I ha e very little IPA at the moment so seeking an adequate alternative until I get more.

Used baby Yoda to try my first attempt at supporting a figure. After the ear failed I decided to torture test it by putting it in the curing chamber for 8 hours straight and see if it cracked or did anything else and nothing. This anycubic white and elegoo yellow along with some left over resin from failed color tests. It is solid. So to everyone wondering about over curing here you go this test in these circumstances nothing happens. FYI the odd spot on top of his head was me brushing resin to fill an air bubble spot, it did not work as expected.

Pleased to meet you :)

Recieved my Photon 3 days and a starter bottle of the Soy resin in grey.

I mainly design Silver Jewellery and replacement/mods parts for collectible toys and dioramas.

Till now I have been using Shapeways and Commercial casters for my 3D printing needs but am hoping to find a resin that will suitable for Loss wax casting.

After a bit of play starting to get some good prints.

Would I be right in saying the Soy based resin is better for organic models then high detail sharp edge model?

These where printed together and the Dragon head pendant is better then what I get from commercial casters Wax printers but the Templar ring is missing some of the sharpness . The Spartan shield is not round looks like I needed more supports at the bottom.

I guess that will do for a first post :)
