Anycubic Photon Printer Owners 造訪社團 » resin

Have had a couple failed prints lately due to lifted/curling edges. Did a thorough cleaning/releveling/general systems check, and got this one to print alright, but as you can see the front facing side is still peeling, and the back side raft layer seems far thinner in comparison.

Any suggestions as to what I may be doing wrong or could try for better results?

Photon. Anycubic elegoo grey resin. Layer height 0.5. Bottom layers 8 with 60 second exposure. Regular layers 9 seconds.

Hi Photonsters
Got a question I am in the UK wondered if anyone have used anything a bit friendlier to clean your resin prints, saw a video on using simply green and mean green but these are all U.S. products not made here in the UK anyone tried anything else.
The end allow is to use the soy based bio resins and a good friendlier cleaner would be great.
Any ideas??? :)

You can get Simple Green in the UK - same thing ?
I use it here in Oz but I’m from the UK and I could pick it up in B&Q

Looking for some cool support column/pillars to print on my resin printer for my miniature display case and use in game. The case only has three glass shelves and I want to print some fantasy/sci-fi pillars to hold up a sheet of plexiglass or another piece of glass on each glass shelf. Yes, I know I can buy the glass and the hanger clips but I’d rather spice it up. Any cool files floating around? I stopped unpacking minis when I realized the 3 shelves wouldn’t be enough haha.

Im printing a terrain item that is pretty big and low detail (2700 layers). Ideally id print not on the photon. But its my only printer. Its predicted to be 13 hours and use 250ml of resin hollowed and supported.

This is my second hollowed print and by far my biggest. Would it be possible to have someone check over my supports/hollowing or give me some pointers? Additionally can I do larger layers than .05 to speed it up? Or is that about the biggest I can go and keep this massive print together?

If not allowed I understand. But im hesitant to print 1/4 of a bottle in one go if I didnt do this correctly.

For reference its the half circle piece on the left in this file rotated 90 degrees vertically to fit the print bed.

Is there an abrasion resistant resin mix that might help with friction. Was thinking Elegoo Black (need that color) and Siraya Blu, maybe?

At least until Delrin resin comes out ...

I need some help troubleshooting. I just changed my FEP and everything seemed to be fine but then I changed from using transparent resin to blue (both Elegoo) and started having print issues. Any thoughts?

Some little xenomorphs from my Photon. First successful print with Elegoo resin. Had to relevel and adjust the base layers up.

I hadn't realized just how incredibly fragile resin is. Dropped a mini on the floor and it landed JUST right to snap of the very obvious sword hilt and completely ruin the mini. And of course, the piece has vanished completely, so no gluing it together. Fortunately, I'd only removed the supports, sanded and prepped it rather than actually completing it.

Hey everyone! So I just pulled the trigger on my first resin printer.. Photon! Any recommendations for switching from filament to resin? And any tricks about the Photon would be much appreciated! Thanks in advance

Hi guys! I've finally decided to give the Anycubic clear eco resin a go. I though I'd just try it out on a piece I knew worked in the opaque colours and then adjust from there but to my surprise the detail came out perfect first time... Well on the one side it did anyway.

Once I got the price off the plate I noticed that the supports on the back of it's head were one solid lump now. Initially I thought this just meant I needed less grouped supports for printing clear, but when I removed the ear supports which are quite spaced out I noticed there was a lumpy ridge along the back between where each support joins the model. I've tried to take some photos to show what's happening but it's difficult with the clear resin. I've included an example of a primed grey cast to show how smooth it should be.

Anyone else experienced this and got any tips to fix it? I'm unsure given how perfect the actual face and such came out ?
