So, I'm on essentially my 5th or 6th unsuccessful print here and I *still* don't know what is going on. I tried two original prints that maybe weren't supported as well, I managed two 25% scale baby yodas, but there were three on the plate, and I managed to test print the new test print that was on the flash drive. That had a couple issues, but it seemed to be plate leveling issues. I have leveled, leveled again, used the Read method, used the paper method, I've shaken my resin, run it under a warm tap, put a heater in the room, I have been putting all miniatures offset at an angle, I hollowed it, auto supported then checked supports, leveled the machine itself (which wasn't off much), cleaned everything multiple times, replaced the FEP film twice... I'm out of options. I did stop this print once to make sure that the base had managed to stick to the plate, because most of my other prints failed because they stuck to the FEP. I'm like a couple failed prints from filling this with tannerite and going to some BLM land. Any other takes on this consistent failure? Normal Photon, firmware 4.0, hollowed and supported in Chitubox, sliced on the anycubic slicer, used my own, better flash drive, checked and rechecked exposures, doing 8 base layers.

Hi friends,
I'm new at 3D printing. I've printed some single structures with at the moment no problem in my opinion (test cube, baby yoda...). I see most of you recommend Chitubox instead of Photon Workshop. I'm trying to understand how does it work and to set my printer in it. I have noticed you can add some default machines as Photon S (in this case). But when I add it i don't see any change in the settings. My questions are: Do we have to set everything or it is already done? The dimensions of the volume that appear are not the presented in the printer specs (65 x 115 x 165 instead of 68,04 x 120,96 x 150). Can I change them with no problem? What about the resolution? Is there anywhere any resume of the setting with every resin? At the moment I've printed in green (the same that comes with the printer) following a recommended setting and everything OK. But I want to change to dental resins like Nextdent. Is there any criteria to change the settings? Or the way is only try and learn?
Thank you very much! At the moment I'm enjoying my 3dprinting and carrying it to my job. 翻譯年糕

Admittedly I know this is a sla group for the photon but I figure a lot of you are multi machine users.
Looking for a decent FDM printer, is the I3 mega anygood or am I best not to go full anycubic and look at enders, etc?

I was so excited I wanted to print this guy but all I hear is a ‘suction’ noise then when I check the print the raft is stuck to the FEP ?

I have levelled several times and got the paper really tight now.

I’m using Anycubic Black. Tried layer height of 0.02 first them dropped it to 0.04. Tried both 60 and 80 seconds on the base layers and 8 and 10 seconds on the rest (although with raft on FEP I figure the rest is irrelevant right now).

Ambient temp is circa 15 degrees C (although seems warmer near the machine.

Am I missing anything?

Trying the anycubic demo now just to see if that will print... So far I can still hear it ‘popping’. So perhaps it’s the shape of the raft or is it more likely I just need to use the same settings as the cube?

Hi, I have a Photon S. My firmware version is 3.4.1 and my machine only detects .pws files. I checked the Anycubic website and it has version 5.0.2 on it as the latest version. I read somewhere that the latest firmware can detect all the previous formats. Should I update the firmware to 5.0.2? Is it stable? Thanks.

iv recently been using 2 elegoo mars along side my older photon, the mars (in my personal experience) have had nothing but problem after problem causing fail and fail and bottle after bottle of wasted resin while my photon just troopered on with no problems. so i eventually after 45 days of trying to rectify, sent them back to Amazon and got a full refund of £240 on both machines then went on Aliexpress to the Anycubic shop and bought 2 photons (original) along with 5 litres of resin with each machine (10 litres total mixed colours) for a total of only £504 delivered! shipped from poland to the UK they took only 5 days, iv waited for longer stuff locally in the UK off ebay! Absolute bargain considering there over £350 with of anycubic resin alone sitting there aswell as 2 brand new machines! :) MUCH better deal than off ebay.

Just came across the Tronxy (?TronXY?) Ultrabot. Looks like another photon-style machine, similar price-point to the S. Still a single Z-rail, but I like the double-door design. Has anyone here tried it?

So I run 10 machines at work. I noticed last week I was getting frame shearing on 3 of the machines on a particular sculpt. I tried changing the sculpt first not knowing that there was firmware updates. It only kinda worked. This morning I got on here and searched the forums and found out about the epax update that corrects this issue. I went and installed it and it only fixed 2 machines but made the other plus 2 more that didnt have the issue worse. The rest of the machines it actually made the prints a little cleaner. I had loaded it into all the machines figuring I would stop an issue from arising later. Before I go back to the anycubic update do any of you have suggestion first?
