My first print (a die) was flawless. This machine is gonna be fun!!

Second print (two more die, and parts for a modular space marine) went ok, both dice and one arm didn't print (what did was amazing).

Third print tried again, nothing stuck to the plate

4th print nothing stuck again and my FEP is cloudy as hell (probably from IPA).

The adventure continues.

I already have two photons but saw Elegoo Mars at Amazon for £200 so bought one, print area very slightly smaller but quicker printing , chitu slicer far superior to Anycubic apart from the dreadful color scheme.
A little awkward with the Usb slot at back of machine and lid is cumbersome but solid, apart from that I'm well impressed

Well put off sanding plate,But was last resort and did make a difference in my case as much as some may say oh its your settings,While my bed was not as bad as some ive seen,the anodizing seriously did decrease about of stick I Got,Was running Monocure Grey Rapid

Sanded,Re-leveled machine exactly same as had done before using bit of paper went from print only semi sticking at around 80 exposure for 4 layers to having great stuck at only 60 seconds exposure

Hi all, I've been working with this printer for over a week now, and I haven't had any luck. I've been FDM printing since 2011, but so far resin has proven to be frustrating.

So far I haven't had any successful prints. Every print gets a few layers in and sticks to the FEP. I've leveled the build plate many times using both the paper and Reed method, replaced the FEP (ensuring the film is removed)

I've disassembled, cleaned and re-assembld the build plate.

My build plate appears to have a tiny cup. I can just barely see light a steel machinists ruler is placed upon it.

I've tried to print the rook, and the birdcage From https://pinshape.com/items/23778-3d-printed-bird-cages . Both have been flat to the build plate. Should I be tilting/supporting these prints?

In addition to sticking to the FEP, I see a skin of resin around the part, and some loose partially cured resin floating in the vat. Checking the UV light and display, it looks like the patterns are being shown correctly.
I have also tried various settings, though I've only used the green which comes with the printer.
My settings for this print were:
Layer Height: 0.05
Bottom layer count: 10
Bottom Exposure Time: 80s
Regular exposure time: 15s
Light off delay: 1s
Bottom Light off Delay 5s

Everything else is standard from Chitubox.
I did run the print through the validator. It found a few island higher up the cage and repaired them.

If you look at the image showing the front of the build plate, the gap is larger on the right side. This plate is level in this photo. I'm not sure, but it looks a bit like my whole Z rail has a slight tilt - note the image showing the top of the rail. I'm not sure if I can use the shell of the printer as a reference here.

So Heeeelp - can anyone suggest what I should do to get a successful print?

Hello guys

I am new to resin prints, I was wondering if after the pieces are well cured they are foodsafe, or if there is any special resin that is foodsafe, I ask you since in my work I make several parts for coffee machines, so far I have only limited myself to making external functional pieces that have no contact with water or coffee, but I have seen some high-temperature resins that can be used to make internal parts of some coffee machines.

Little PSA, this is the single best (and only) "upgrade" I've needed on my photon. One of these and some velcro.

I used to get regular USB errors, which I think is down to the USB port not being great, and constantly removing and replugging in the USB. When I added an extension it was not only easier to access, but there is less wear and tear on the machine. And it seems to mount much better, so I'm no longer getting USB errors. Only cost a couple of dollars and made a huge difference to the success of my prints.

Hi everyone. I seem to be having a weird problem here. I have made sure if was level to the bed and that the bed was level even took it through meshmixer and did find a few errors. Took it into tinkercad and rebuilt it and still this keeps happening. I have tried 2 different photons and 2 different resins all with the same result. I'm not sure if it's moving during print but if so why on both machines also the error is the same everytime. Has this happened to anyone else.?

I got an email about Zortrax new slicer update. I guess it supports external LCD printers. It has the .photon format. I’m going to test it. Not sure if you can download it with out owning a Zortrax machine. I have a m200.

I found resin cured under my vat for the last two days, and failed prints in the tank. Initially I'd assumed the resin under was from the print dropping off the build plate, but that does not appear to be the case after a second day with the same, and much less print showing.

I replaced the FEP again, assuming there is a hole in the vat. This is now my 5th FEP since getting the printer a month ago. Only the first FEP seemed to work out ok, until it puckered and ripped.

My question, what am I missing in machine prep that would make this keep happening?

I'm currently running Siraya Easy, 180s base exposure, and last night ran a print starting at 18s exposure per layer. I'd started at 14, but hadn't been hearing the part removing from the FEP, I upped it until I heard it, then tried going back down to 18s, but that didn't sound like it was working. I am unsure at the moment if it did work, the print will finish in about an hour, I picked something small to prove it out.

Noticed that after I upgraded to the EPAX .17 to fix my frame shearing, the confirmation beep sounds completely different. Does this mean we can mod our machines to produce whatever sound we want? ?
