Hi all, I need some advice on resins. I have a photon and I want to print functional parts for prototypes so I'm looking for ABS type properties. Colour is not important, neither is detail, to a point. I know I may be asking a lot but do you know of a resin that would suit me best, Thanks in advance.

Hi Everyone! Took some advice and ordered some Siraya Tech Tenacious to mix into my Resin for better strength / more flexible prints. (All of my prints were snapping and breaking from gravity/play)

I am having a hard time finding resources on how to mix / what ratio to mix/ what Exposure settings to use for the New Mix for the following:

Anycubic Green Translucent (starter)
Anycubic Grey
Elegoo ABS like Grey

I havent tried anything, dont want to waste material.

Has anyone else ever mixed Tenacious into their Resin? What should I try to start for this?

Siraya tech ABS like fast grey, standard Photon, used the settings on their website. This is post cure, seems pretty good. Maybe a little over exposed? Hard to tell from the pic

Ok New to resin printing. Only problem I'm having is even after rinsing with IPA than curing the smell is still terrible.

I'm also working with Flex and ABS, I know both are potent.

Any tips or tricks would be greatly appreciated.

Does anyone have a recommendation for a resin that can handle high temperatures needed for rubber mold vulcanization (300 to 320 degrees F). The AnyCubic green I tested cracked before the mold had set and the cracks showed up in the mold.

I know FormLabs has one for the Form 2 and 3, so I know it is possible, but don't know where to look for a comparable product for use in the Photon S.

I'm making replacement parts for some old electronics. What's a good resin mix for accurate parts with some ABS type flex? Such as parts that have little hooks that flex a little and lock into place. Blu mixed with a little Tenacious?

It the moment i've only really been using elegoo grey and black.

Jewelry casting question !! Have any of you tried lost wax casting with the standard resins? I was able to use a 3doodler ? ? ? to print" out some abs stuff , fed from a spool and I was able to cast that at a higher burnout temperature, worked awesomely. :D so I'm wondering if that would be possible with this technique. Have you done it, does it work/burnout well, and was it safe to do? My kiln is outside on a patio, so I wouldn't be sniffing it lol. And contrasting, how is the castable resin better. Etc? :) thank you ! <3

Hello. I've been having greater success with the Photon lately trying to print off table-worthy minis for my tabletop games.

I am very happy with these two prints, however, their feet seem to have been 'absorbed' into the base? What would cause this? When I look at the .photon file/.stl file on my computer, the feet are completely normal looking.

I have printed these straight up and down (not the angle technique like I've seen others use) with minimal supports.

Any ideas?

Managed to sidetrack my self on another project. The Ghost cube from Destiny. Just couldn't resist. A few more prints to go. Will try to do the prints in coloured resin instead of painting them.

Printed using Harzlabs Model Resin Black on the Photon ??
Z-Suite is used as slicer with Auto Generated orientation and medium supports.

Just love this printer and resin combination
