Anycubic Orange, Red and Maroon cost 26 Euros per liter with free shipping (at least in Cyprus)

Is there any catch with those specific resins? I have heard that Orange is tricky to print with.

Alright everyone, please excuse my tiny rant that is about to come.

On the daily do I read posts and comments by users in this group and other groups, stating that certain issues, topics or methods "will always be there", "cannot be solved", "will always be like this" or "cannot be done". Be it supports that won't leave pock marks, intial layers without horizontal expansion, printing parts that need a lot of strength, printing perfectly transparent parts, adding glittering dye to resin or tuning the printer to do certain things and unlock features, to name a few. I know these comments are with no ill intent, but in a community that is mostly about empowering each other's ideas and literally making things, I feel like regularly seeing this "pessimism" and the construction of these mental borders is slowly killing me on the inside. You all literally have a machine standing somewhere near you, that creates objects out of virtually nothing! A little, affordable, miracle box that turns whatever you imagine into a real life object. This is unbelievable! Getting to this point took decades of innovation and the realization of numerous ideas that "could not be done".

So if I have a plea for you all here, then be it that please, let us all keep an open mind about innovation that can come from this community in improving our machines, prints, methods and workflow. "It cannot be done" is something I wish to no longer be reading in the comments here, I hope we can all come together on this.

Thanks for reading my short rant, I will now regain control of myself again.

Excuse me if someone has already mention. Saw on Reddit something about Anycubic resin cheap on eBay. There are multiples of these listing. Obvious the price is coming down bigly. $30 for 1 liter shipped for orange. Others are higher.

Am I the only one who got so used to the resin that literally cannot smell it anymore?

Iv been playing around with dying resin the past few days and this alumilite is as amazing for 3d printing as it is for casting! I use to cast resin and had ordered a complete dye and pearl kit from them and after I saw that my cheap "clear" resin wasn't so clear when cured I decided to give it a go!

The only settings iv changed where increasing the exposure time to 16 seconds a layer and 53 for the first. Other than that it's been printing great! I don't know the ratio becuase iv just been mixing and adding as I go but I'd say I have a good 8 drops of dye to a full vat and pry a pea sized ball of pearl in it as well total.

This is my first week with a resin printer and I must say I'm hooked! I regret starting an fdm farm before trying resin printing lol

It's a bit hard to see detail in this color, but I absolutely love how these models by Arminas came out!

The resin was an accidental mix of elegoo Red and anycubic clear we've been trying to use up. It's not the best, and literally every support I placed failed... And these STILL came out great. I can't wait to get them primed and painted with my daughter this Sunday!

Edit: Here's a link to the models! I don't wanna forget to help promote their work! https://www.myminifactory.com/…/3d-print-rpg-heroes-set-01-…

Has anyone tried this or any of this company's products? I would love to make some color changing resin and iv seen people using alumilite dye and powder witch I'm going to try later today but this stuff looks amazing!band the price seems reasonable as well. $10 for a 15ml bottle of dye with should make a ton of colored resin.

2 issues I need some minor help with - had the photon for a few months now I bought it with 2 additional liter bottles of the green resin it came with. Used them fine, ran out of the OG resin so bought another bottle on ebay - and it wont stick to the build plate. It stuck so well to the FEP that I tore it getting it off.

So replaced the FEP and was told by another photon user it should be as tight as a drum head when finished. Leveled like normal - paper method, and still having issues. It was suggested that I may have the leveling too tight now because the FEP is so tight now. It hasnt been an issue because I have several other printers that I was actively using (Alfawise u20 plus Anet AM8 and a prusa clone).

Another site suggested scuffing the build plate to get a rough surface to help it stick but since I dont see replacement build plates in very many places I didnt want to go full extreme lmao. Especially since it worked for months before changing resin. I tried another anycubic resin same issue and JUST ordered some elegoo gray.

Ok so i need to buy more resin, enjoyed the clear green resin that came with my photon. What resin's are some of your favorites? I would like to try something else but there are so many options and mixed reviews out there idk where to start. Also what is a decent price for a liter of resin?
